Senator Pat Roberts, Traitor from Kansas
From the Kansas democrats site:

Washington - Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Pat Roberts (R-KS) won't allow the Senate Intelligence Committee to investigate how Karl Rove, Lewis "Scooter" Libby and possibly other White House officials improperly revealed the identity of an undercover CIA operative for partisan gain. Instead, he has decided to convene hearings about whether CIA agents decide to use covert identities.

"Senator Roberts is fiddling around with labels, while the intelligence community is burning with anger about President Bush's refusal to punish top aides who dangerously revealed the identity of an undercover CIA operative," said DNC spokesman Josh Earnest. "It's time for the Republicans in Washington, DC to stop playing politics with our national security. As Chairman of the Senate Intel Committee, Senator Roberts has a responsibility to hold the White House accountable on intelligence matters, not aid and abet the improper and possibly illegal activity of Republican political operatives."

It's time to start letting the people of Kansas know that they have a senator that is directly responsible for the loss of our soldiers lives by stonewalling an investigation. This man must also pay for his negligence by going to prison.

2. I live in FLIPPING Wichita--I'm doing what I can, folks.
But this is one blood red state.

I call Roberts "old rubber stamp." Whatever Bush says, "old rubber stamp" just stamps it OK.

3. Fuck Pat Roberts He never would go ahead with Phase 2 of the investigation
regarding the intelligence on Iraq. He promised Rockefeller that they would investigate the "what the administration did with the intelligence" on Iraq and never did.

7. Letter from Kit Bond
I got this letter from my MO Senator Christopher Bond, in response to a letter I sent him. It's so full of lies -- I don't know if he's stupid or if he thinks we are.

Sept. 26, 2005

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on deputy chief of staff in charge of policy Karl Rove. I am always happy to hear from Missourians and am interested to know your thoughts on this issue.

As I am sure you are already aware, a grand jury investigation into who revealed the name of CIA officer Valerie Plame is currently underway. A 1982 Federal law makes knowingly disclosing the identity of a covert officer a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. However, Mr. Wilson's wife was not an undercover officer requiring protection from the law. In fact, it was widely known that she was employed at the CIA as a desk officer. Although it appears no crime was committed, the federal investigation is continuing to determine who disclosed that Mr. Wilson was sent on his mission to Niger at the suggestion of his wife.

Our Senate Intelligence Committee and a subsequent British investigation concluded that Mr. Wilson's assessment of the Niger situation as not accurate.

This is one of the 9 Repugs who voted AGAINST the anti-torture provision, one of the 5 who voted AGAINST suspending the Senate's annual pay increase.

(I can't post new threads yet, so this seemed a good place to put this. I've enjoyed all the articles & posts here! They've given me much hope. Hello to all!)
