Americans' anger may threaten GOP control of Congress
"As angry and pissed off as we were in 1994 about politics, I think it's worse today," said Frank Luntz, a Republican strategist who helped his party capture Congress in 1994. "This House of Representatives' Republican majority is in jeopardy."

"Today," added Republican pollster Ed Goeas, "President Bush and Republicans face a political environment that, as reflected in current polling numbers, is the most negative environment of his presidency."

5. We need to run against the whole GOP, not individual politicians
We need to make "Republican" as big an epithet as they made "Liberal."

We need to point out to the electorate that everything that sucks about the USA today is the direct result of Republican majorities in Congress supporting a heartless, brainless Republican president.

For anything to improve, the people must take those majorities away. It's the only way to put the brakes on the hellbound Bush handcart.

We only need one campaign message for every political contest in 2006; one nationwide message -- turn out the corrupt and incompetent Republicans -- vote Democrat!

2. You silly, silly Democrats....
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 04:41 PM by Zinfandel
And the dems think they are going to take over congress next year, not a chance, "65% (of voters) say their own representative deserves re-election." With Bush at his lowest still they don't believe dems can win all their seats they have now, plus 20 or so more...by next year. Right before the election...gas prices will be brought down, many troops in Iraq will be brought home, Bush will sign some kind of major social legislation, etc. etc...AND the republicans will hold control of Congress, Arnold will be re-elected and then BushCo, after the election, will tear apart Social Security and other social programs...Of course after the election, gas prices will creep back up, more troops will magically be needed, Bush legislation we find is complete bullshit or doesn't pass the houses...and all the dems will have to show for it all is perhaps Libby (who'll be pardoned) and DeLay, maybe!!!!

Save this and just watch...I'm usually right on the money, (most of the time)...and it frustrating as fuck because no one listens, they believe what the bullshit media writes and tells them...

"Republican Tracey Schmitt responded thusly: "Regardless of the news cycle, the republican party is committed to our long-term goals: advancing the president's agenda and making sure we have the resources we need to be successful in 2006."

Good-bye Social programs...Hello to even more death...the silly dems think they going to take back Congress, don't make me laugh...It'll be six years in 2006 and not a thing has been done about the republican owned electronic voting machines...EXCEPT, more and more are flooding into states all around the country, including California...I can't stop laughing at you democrats, silly geese!!!!

(though I'm one too).

3. Eliminate fraudulent Diebold voting and it's a done deal.
Democrats would then take back the House, Senate, Governorships, and State Houses, bigtime!

53 Senate seats/245+ House seats/30 Governorships/55-60% of the State Houses.

7. Gee, how simple, get real!!! Wouldn't you say that was a tall order?
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 05:35 PM by Zinfandel
Since not a thing has been done about it in five years..."Eliminate fraudulent Diebold voting"...Democrats have at least two bills in the house concerning ownership (republican) and paper trails of electronic voting machines, for over two years now and the republicans have vowed to NEVER let them on the house floor for debate or see the light of day...

How simple you make it sound...how would you go about it?

So if they don't "Eliminate fraudulent Diebold voting" your in agreement, that there's not a chance in hell the democrats can win back the house, since your putting it all on the simple premise..."Eliminate fraudulent Diebold voting"!!!

6. I have yet to see Democrats capitalizing on this
the way Republicans capitalized on it in '94.

There is enormous outrage against Republican leadership in Washington. There is enormous potential for Democrats to get back into power as a result.

But I don't see too many Democrats in leadership saying what they'd do differently. That is the problem.

We're not going to win because we're "the Other."

9. It almost seems like the more ammunition the repukes hand
the Dem leadership, the more cowed they become. It is beyond frustrating.
