Can you name who said this?
"The national government will maintain and defend the foundations on which the power of our nation rests. It will offer strong protection to Christianity as the very basis of our collective morality. Today Christians stand at the head of our country. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit. We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press — in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of LIBERAL excess during the past years"

(disclaimer: This is not a poke at "normal" Christians)

Really makes you think huh? Especially since when you think of what Bush has said before:

"God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then He instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East”

— George W. Bush to Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, July 2003

13. While there have not been government sanctioned book
burnings, several churches across the country have burned Harry Potter books because they deem them satanic.

When my now deceased brother was alive he toyed with fundie christianity and every now and then he would take his record collection and offer them to be burned, saying they were the source of his sin.

OY vey!

9. Pat Robertson?
Sounds like the paranoid ramblings of a Robertson or a Dobson to me.
