Tweety on MSNBC: FBI agents sent to question Wilson's neighbors |
|
Sorry if already posted, but Chris Matthews was just asked on MSNBC why the delay from Fitzgerald in announcing anything. Matthews said Fitz sent agents to question neighbors to see if they knew Plame was an agent. According to Matthews, the agents found that their neighbors believed she was a a business consultant. They had no idea she was an undercover agent. He thinks this "seems to help tie up the case" that someone deliberately outed Plame.
He expects Bush to have to "put together a new team" in the next couple weeks because of the indictments, which will hamper his ability to name a new SCOTUS nominee.

this is really big.
I think even if Rove/Libby had mentioned her status to reporters, if it was common knowledge amongst her neighbors then he probably wouldn't make the big charge.
This clears the way to make the big charge against at least Libby.
