How do you feel right now?
Libby's been indicted.

The White House is sitting in a corner with it's lizard like tail tucked in between it's legs.

Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame have been vindicated.

But, RW'ers and Rush Limbo say we're angry.

Don't let them decide how you feel!

Express it in this thread.

4. I'm furious that Wall Street rallied because Rove wasn't Indicted
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 04:22 PM by bushmeat
I predict that Libby will not spend a single night in Jail.

I am pleased that the indictments look rock solid.

6. Guess I'm still holding my breath
If Libby falls on his sword and no one else gets even a hand slapped, I will be horribly disappointed. Fitzgerald is impressive, smart but I worry that he wants only ironclad cases and won't go after Rove because Rove has covered his tracks too well. But more could come out, especially if there's a trial.

less than that = "the dems are now sorry meirs wasn't going forward" "it's all their doing that she was removed" they've been over re-focusing, controlling the message while never bringing up libby, daley, or any of their shit stained laundry; that is what they do the very best and do not kid yourself. they obfuscate the truth. that is all they really know how to do

i feel will feel better when are all voted the hell of of town

10. I've had a good Fitzmas, and now
I'm waiting for the Epiphany (Efitzamy? Sorry, it just doesn't roll off the tongue like Fitzmas does, but I had to try it out!).

Really, Christmas somehow never lives up to it's reputation, and Fitzmas didn't either. I didn't get all the presents I wanted (as usual). I am, however, very happy with the 5 presents I did receive!

I'm definitely not angry - just waiting for the next "gift giving" holiday!

11. I feel kind of sad for my country.
I thought I would feel happier, but I wish we had better people in the WH. I feel tremendous sadness for our troops who are dying unnecessarily because these treasonous, greedy idiots sent them to Iraq. I want that truth to come out for their sakes. Scooter's troubles are just a drop in the bucket compared to what we really need. I hope Fitzgerald can deliver more within the next few months.

12. I'm totally bummed that Rove dodged the bullet again.
This sleazy bastard has been pulling this crap since Nixon, and he has avoided responsibility again.

Do you think for one minute Libby or Cheney would NOT run it past Rove first in June, 2003?

I'm troubled that Fitzpatrick seems to think his job is to not indict unless he knows beyond any doubt that they are guilty. He plays zero connect the dots.

The importance of what they were doing vis-a-vis the war cannot be overstated. Only by examining the war issues at that moment can one understand this vicious, unprecedented attack on a CIA agent.

I expected more of Fitz than what I saw.

13. Exhausted, It's been 5 years, can I sleep now?
Actually, I feel more tense then ever.

These clowns will extinguish the planet before they admit defeat, bank on it.

I think it would be prudent for congress to neutralize the threat by isolating them in small grey cells, for their own protection of course.

Someone PLEASE take the football from these psychopaths!

15. Satisfied.
Frankly, I aim low in my hopes. Sorry, but if people were hoping for 22 indictments or whatnot, you were bound to be disappointed. Even Rove was a long shot. And you know what? We don't know anything about the scope of the next GJ investigation. Rove could be a day away from indictment. There's no way to tell.

Scooter's going to trial. Unless he wants to be thrown in the slammer for 30 years (keep in mind he has a wife and children), he's going to have to reveal information to the point that it satisfies Fitzgerald. And if he knows as much as I suspect he does, what he has to say might be very damning indeed.

Bit by bit. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Besides, it's not as if the misAdministration's problems have gone away. They still have to come up with a court nominee that will pacify the RW fucknuts while satisfying the moderates. They have DeLay and Frist and Coingate. They have Iraq literally blowing up in their faces. They face falling support for their social policies. Hurricanes are pounding the gulf coast. Gas prices haven't returned to pre-Katrina levels. The economy is shit. People aren't buying the fake "terra" alerts. Now they're looking at a trial and a continuing investigation.

And all in time for midterm elections to swing into gear. The Democrats are running 7 Iraq veterans for Congress, including Paul Hackett. While our party is far from perfect, the Dems are planning to roll out their platform for next year which, by all accounts, hits all the right talking points.

Regardless of Plamegate, I see NO bright spots for this administration in the near future.

16. Hope
If I would have known, during the horrible winter that followed the last "election" that within the space of one year there would be a senior administration figure indicted, I am sure the terrible sense of depression I felt about the state of my country would have been much less severe.
What is playing out in front of our eyes (and on the television sets all over the country FINALLY!) is more than I ever dared to hope for.
Maybe justice delayed will not be justice denied.
Every day more people are waking up to just how corrupt this administration is. I have had a Republican voter tell me recently that I was right, this "president" is an idiot and she told me she wouldn't be watching Faux News anymore. Even my dear old ditto-head dad has taken the four "W" stickers off of his car. I never thought I would see the day.
Maybe being hopeful is seen as silly. I certainly understand the pessimism of those who say it is foolish to hope, after all we have been through since idiot son was thrust upon us five years ago.
I choose to hope and believe that our fellow citizens, who have been so brainwashed and lead by fear, will wake up and join us in our quest for a better America.
Denese

18. One down - more to go
Whether it is this investigation or another investigation, their mistakes will come around to haunt them. They will not get away with what they have done, Congree needs to take issue with the evidence they recieved before the lead to war....

19. At this point
somewhat let down. Granted I haven't read all the stuff in the other forum yet, so don't know all the details. Have a feeling that if I bring it up to alot of people I know I'll get this "Libby, who's he? Isn't he the guy with the bald head and mustache that was mixed up with Nixon?"
