Dead Peasant Insurance - Is It Possible To Know?
Is there any way to learn whether or not a current or former employer has taken out a "dead peasant" insurance policy against you?

Recently our office building had an anthrax scare. All but the lowest-paid employees were evacuated from the building. I was one of those low-paid employees who were not informed of the threat until after it had been proven to be a hoax. I have a suspicion that I am worth more to my company dead than alive.

1. Does your boss listen to Neal Boortz?
It seems like the company was following his philosophy:

2. It's illegal in many states. But, if you can prove that a decision...
...was made to evacuate only certain employees, you might have the basis for a lawsuit.

3. ...
:wow: :wow: I'd think of filing a class action suit on general principles! That totally sucks; did you ever get an explanation why you weren't informed?

5. Depends. Is your boss named Chichikov? . . .
if so, he may find value in you as a Dead Soul.
