I priced medical coverage |
Now I know why 47 million have no health care. I'm 55, Breast Cancer survivor, overweight, smoker, asthmatic. Best so far is over $400 monthly,$2500 deductible with 80/20
Theyprobably will not coverage my B/C for 12 months and probably will never cover my asthma.
I am better off spending $200 monthly with nutritional products to keep myself healthy.

BTW, why don't you quit smoking and start exercising?

2. I can't get insurance at any price! |
Due to the pre-existing condition of hepatitis-C. Never mind that I'm healthy and asymptomatic. I've already tried purchasing additional long-term disability insurance and was denied. I'm locked into my job working for a major corporation so I can keep my affordable health care plan. Not a tragedy, I'll admit, but I can forget about my entrepreneurial hopes and dreams!
Everyone with Hepatitis-C (a LOT of people) must have this problem.

7. If you can I would get off of BC/BS |
They suck in paying claims. If you are young and healthy check out options.

6. I had to pay that without the medical problems you have except |
mild asthma until I qualified for Medicare. I hated that I was paying a good chunk of my income into premiums and then I had to pay to go to the doctor and for medicine besides that. It was then that what a racket privatized health care is that was driven home to me.

10. That is just total BS and I'm so sorry you have to pay that much. The |
Democratic Party should start up a Health Care Program for their members. They need to show they are really willing to do something to help the people in the country.

11. Some large groups offer their members participation - |
- in blanket or group health policies at discounted premiums. Maybe DU could instigate something like that?
