AFA: Animal Planet promotes homosexuality (?%#&@*) |
|
http://mediamatters.org/items/200510130004I don't recall any discussion about this here, but this apparently happened a couple of weeks ago.

Evangelical nutwings are destroying our country. (When they're not busy making a lot of money.)
Great link. Thanks.

2. That's the point we've reached. |

For these RW fundie nutjobs, simply showing a gay person on TV acting normally is too much. "Love the sinner, hate the sin," my ass.

3. I see they mention the HGTV channel |
|
No doubt that some poor fundie probably sufferred a coronary when they saw the Christopher Lowell show. And I'm sure that they'll be spreading rumors that the network acronmym stands for "Homosexual Gay Transvestite Network"
At least you can laugh at the Wildmons for their stupidity. They aren't quite as hateful as the Phelps KKKlan, just more paranoid.

4. These people are sooo sick. |

They see sex in everything. Next thing we know the clouds will display gay signs. They're obsessed.

5. See, to me this exposes the fatal flaw in their argument |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 04:31 AM by chalky
that homosexuality is a BEHAVIOR...
Exactly how are these righteous people identifying all these gay people on these shows?
As an avid HGTV watcher, I have yet to see anyone on a show jump up and shout, "I'm here, I'm queer, get used to it!" I've seen no hot man-on-man sex and no girl/girl action. There are no secret gay handshakes and no gay gang-signs being flashed before the closing credits.
Are they saying that they can just tell that these people are gay without hearing any confirmation or witnessing any "gay behavior" from their victim?
And....if they can tell that a person is gay regardless of that person's behavior, if they're actually claiming that they just know someones gay because their gaydar goes off when some HGTV host comes on the screen, well....doesn't that kind of destroy their argument that being gay is something that you do instead of something that you are?

6. They're right you know |
|
I mean, when have you ever seen a heterosexual wedding on AP? If they aren't actively promoting heterosexuality then they must be promoting homosexuality.

Picture it. A great big megachurch, thousands of people sitting around listening to this crap. Then BLAM! In come the Nutjob Teams! They get him in a headlock and spray, then run off again! Same on the radio. "SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS IS THE AVATAR OF SATAN! THE TELETUBBIES ARE THE FOUR HORSEMEN! THE - CLUNK - SMASH - PSSST - Hello everybody."

I mean...those people are ANIMALS!
And the hairdressers at the dog shows? Well, my goodness. You won't find THEM in First Baptist Church. But the ladies' 'do's kind of look like the French poodle who was best in show.
Sorry, I am really snarky today. I better finish this coffee.
