If Bill Clinton was guilty of any of the things Bush is |
|
just imagine what the right wing assholes would be saying about him now. Imagine the names he'd be called in public.
Imagine the mud being slung if Bill was the one who was guilty of turning our country over to petty thieves, guilty of lying us into a war, guilty of causing the needless deaths of tens of thousands of people, guilty of failing to respond in due time to poor people in New Orleans, guilty of being responsible for his people leaking sensitive classified information, guilty of raping the environment, guilty of turning the other cheek to the price-gouging oil companies....guilty, guilty, guilty.
The first thing they'd be calling him would be a traitor, and they'd to it right on Fox News. They would've impeached him on any single one of the counts that Bush is guilty of. The full-page ads would be in every right wing paper. People like the Swift Boat Liars would have their commercials running in full swing. The veins would've been popping outta maniacle people's necks, like Tom Delay, as they screamed for him to resign.
Of course Bill isn't guilty of any of the horrible things George Bush is.
But just imagine if he was, what we'd be hearing....
Thank goodness Democrats are not like George Bush.

1. Turns out Bill wasn't guilty of anything, and look at what he got called |
|
That's one reason why it's so funny to hear the Republicans wail hypocritically about "Bush bashing"...

4. "Thank goodness Democrats are not like George Bush." |

I agree, but with one caveat... Too bad Dems aren't as charismatic as Shrubya, and that they can't appeal to the lowests common denominator like * does. If they could, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

6. The point you made about charisma and who * appeals to is important |
|
It's something I've been concerned about more than once. Whether Bush is actually as stupid as we think he is or not, he appeals to stupid people because they can relate to him. They like him for that. You're right, we definitely need to appeal to the idiots, although I'm not sure if I want someone who can do it by being like them, lol. Good subject for another thread I guess.
