Arlen Specter just slipped and told the truth on CNN |
|
He said, (regarding Harriet Miers) "The cards were so heavily stacked against her, that the decision was made to have her withdraw."
Hmmmm. So it wasn't her own decision to withdraw to protect the White House documents and information? "The decision was made to have her withdraw. I'm shocked, shocked!

2. As long as Arlen is in an honest mood.... |
|
...somebody ask him who paid him to come up with that ridiculous pile of steaming horseshit called the "magic bullet theory".

Here is a guy that sways with the breeze! He used to be a democrat ,years back. When that was no longer glamorous, he became a republican! Last year, he made a statement about whether outsourcing was really helping our economy. Now, we find out that he is trying to pass a bill to increase the amount of H-1 Bs. So, can we believe him about Harriet Miers? He let Clarence Thomas into the Supreme Court after seeming to be swaying in the breeze on that one!

the likely Dem running against Santorum this time. There is another candiate in that primary (Chuck Pennachio) but he's getting trounced because the DSCC (Read: Chuck Schumer) believe Casey "cracks Ricky S's values base" (Because they share the same values...:puke:).

Frankly, the democrats in congress have NOT done very much the past 6 years. In fact they rubber stamped everything this administration did
It is about time they fought back as an opposition party
In the meantime, the only way we are going to have a chance is if the moderate repugs that are left take back their party, because the dems sure aren't fighting
Of course there is new blood coming in like Hackett, and Dean, Boxer, Feingold, and others were always fighters

would you rather all the repukes were foaming at the mouth?
frankly, zell miller was a so-called democrat, and if it was between miller or specter, I would take specter hands down

And I heard or read that they were supposed to have the senators ask for information but they never did and they were going to use this as an excuse. Looks like someone didn't get memo's for their plans.
