Where do these idiots get this idea? They fling it off the cuff as if it means something. "Liberals hate America."

Uh...no.

We hate some of the shortsighted, wrongheaded, callous strategies the Right (Wrong) Wing espouses, the ones that leave thousands of American soldiers dead or maimed, tens of thousands of innnocent people dead or wounded, and returning vets without proper care because their benefits have been sliced to ribbons.

We hate the policies that pretend to consider education important, while underfunding any program that actually promotes educational opportunities.

We hate the policies that refuse to allow a living wage to American workers, yet subsidize what amounts to slave labor in other parts of the world.

We hate the fact that the media goes along with all the lies and disinformation this administration spews like vomit after sixteen straight shots of rotgut whiskey.

We hate that, despite having some of the best medical technology in the world, many Americans are one critical injury or illness away from abject poverty...or a lifetime of debt.

We hate the fact that some people use a religion that was originally meant to be all-encompassing (remember the compassion of Jesus Christ and compare it to the lack of compassion in those who claim to follow him) to slander and spit upon people who don't see things the same way.

We hate that some people think it's better to be polluters than the kind of people who want to STOP pollution. We hate the fact that some people think it's better to be the folks throwing mercury into the water, or noxious filth into the air, than the kind of "treehuggers" who want to stop this sort of stuff.

No, we don't hate America. We just hate the sort of Americans that make us regret sharing a country with them, who do things in OUR name that we're not proud of, and say things that make us want to scream in absolute disdain "WE DIDN'T AGREE TO THIS!"

We LOVE what America could have been--the ideal that evil, selfish people have stolen away...we love the REAL America, not this changeling child those people have tried to put in its place.

Talk about the ultimate bait and switch.

I read and posted in the other thread .. and you NAILED it here ....

The notion that men can govern themselves through social contract, and therefore ennoble the common man by elevating his condition, is a grand idea worthy of embrace ....

The real problem, I believe, was the conclusion that somehow, corporations are 'individuals', and counted as 'citizens' ... It is THIS notion that is distorting the body politic, and creating serious imbalances in the nation as a whole .....

Listen to them talk. Wingnuts speak of their hatred for civil liberties, their hatred of the fact that this nation is NOT a Christian nation, they demand we all bow down to the government especially when God's choice sits in office.


Essentially they despise the written principles of The Constitution, they want to convert us all to accept a theocracy not a Democracy, and take the term "Torrie" to a whole new level.

None of the stupid flat earthers I've ever spoken to can even name me any other amendments except the first and second ones and they don't know how to interpret those properly.

Despite that our country has had a bloody and sick past where much wrongdoing was done, We The People are trying that's liberals that's Democrats, that's anybody with an ounce of humanity to turn it around into a nation we can all be proud of and we've made great strides in doing so from the Civil Rights Movement to the New Deal.

What's more our nation was born of rebellion and revolution and THAT is what our culture is. Not Christianity not any religion REVOLUTION so this whole be loyal to your government no matter what bullshit does not fly with TRUE Americans that goes for whoever is in charge be it Repuke or Democrat.

If they loved America, they would want it to be the best it can be- Freedoms intact, military families and vets treated the way they deserve, the population not starving and sick from lack of food and health care, etc.

THEY hate America.

They want to make it something it never was- a Theocracy where the poor are ignored and hated (eventually wiped out), where the government tells us who and how to worship, among many other things.

I want America back. The Founding Fathers would go ballistic if they saw what the RW is making of this country.
