5. I had an interesting lurker experience

I was googling some research on military manufacturers that are starting to demand licenses royalties from plastic model makers. Buried in the Google links was a fairly long thread at Free Republic. So I clicked and lurked (not posting).

No big surprise, they weren't happy about it for the same reasons I was - it is an absurd mis-application of trademark and copyright law. But then some body complained that the companies were being greedy. That lead to numerous accusations and counter accusations about who was a DU troll.

6. They are a paranoid bunch.

As soon as someone deviates from the Party Line (is there a documented Party Line position over there?)...you must be a DU troll.

7. it's a perfect illustration

of why the GOP has historically been and remained The Stupid Party. I find their magic materialism and general paganism and political occultism vaguely amusing at times.

But it's all a crack house- their highs are very high, the delusions are fun and highly intriguing, but when they come down it's all misery and shit and failure and dirty laundry and excuses.
