Formal fighting vs. Gang fighting, Am Revolution & the Congress
In the American Revolution before the militia the battles were terrible for Americans. The first battles fought according to some formal military procedure which was to the benefit of the British. Then the Americans saw the flaw in fighting that way and diversified their tactics.

Something has been on my mind lately. In our Federal Government controlled by the Rethugs the Dems are limited as to what they can do, or at least they have been. For some time now in dealing with this administration it's as if the Dems are fighting fair (been doing that for years now) you know, they are civil and follow the rules and such. Now, don't get me wrong, lately I think they are playing some hardball and even using some creative tactics to fight this cancer in our system.

Still, it reminds me of some battle between say some group that fights fair, by the rules, etc. meeting up with some gang of street fighters, or the mob...you know what I mean?

Plus, they have for years now in both parties been up there going through bullshit meaningless banter that is staged while important business is put on the back burner or left off the stove completely while they pontificate.

I don't know, maybe it's just me. It's my observation. We could use more militia thinking.

2. So it's not just me then? You see it too and others must as well.
Right. I think we are making progress. It's just that for so long our officials were being gentlemen and gentlewomen. It's like they were slow to catch on that they were dealing with THUGS.
