1. Repubs don't want a comparison of the war on Iraq with Vietnam,

but they want it to be seen in the same light as WWII?

2. the cartoon suggested FDR wanted out when in fact

he was all for the surrender of Japan.In Vietnam things were different
it was the people calling/protesting the end of that disastrous war.
I remember Nixon expanded the arena into Cambodia and Laos.Same applies to the current war.The bush crime family desperately want to
continue the fight at all costs while now the majority of Americans
have soured on the fight.
I often say their are 30% of Americans with blood lust and an appetite
for war any kind,just or unjust give me a gun and point out the enemy.
Im sure during WWII our country had a 90% or higher support from the people,not with Iraq.
After 911 even I supported Dimson the idiot King,hell I was ready to
go kill arabs any arab would do.I was proud to be an American but as

3. I took it as an insult to those of us who think we should get out of

Iraq now. I think the illustrator is trying to say that the war in Iraq is as "just" as World War II.
There's no comparison to be made, in my opinion.

very busy making comparissons between WWII and the so called GWOT. equating pearl harbor with 9-11 and hitler w/ saddam is a fairly popular pasttime with RW writers of LTTEs around here. it's pretty laughable.

People who compare Iraq to WWII are either history challenged or desparately covering for the Republican party. Usually the latter.
