Timeline for impeachment talks in MSM? |
|
I know it's a long way between talk and action, especially in the MSM and Washington, but given the low approval ratings, the fallout from Miers, Katrina, Iraq, Plamegate, etc, when can we expect events to be so crippling that association with BushCheney becomes a liability for all but the most radical Republicans? Perhaps Watergate provides a parallel. Here's another. I remember during the Iran Hostage Crisis, during the holiday season, Carter's White House celebrations seemed very hollow. Instead of uniting the country behind seasonal celebrations, it emphasized how ineffective he was. Something similar happened when Nixon bombed Cambodia.
I expect impeachment or incompetence talk to heat up, especially as we approach 2006 and the elections. A lot of Republican congressmen and senators are probably calculating their political survival right now.
Any ideas?

1. Write LTTEs and raise impeachment. |
|
As the volume of letters demanding impeachment increases, one will occasionally slip through and stimulate some debate. Bring it into the public arena.

3. My answer is, _we_ drive the timeline. |

We don't have to just passively wonder. We are the revenue stream for the MSM. If they are forced to recognize that most of their audience want stories about impeachment, they will be unable to resist the lure of the cash involved. We need to turn impeachment into the next missing blonde story.

I think this has gone -poof- in the midst of all the other simultaneous scandals. We need to bring it back to light.
