Alito and the "religion test"
I heard on ABC News this morning that, if confirmed, Alito would be the fifth Catholic on the current Supreme Court. While not all Catholics march in lockstep with the Vatican, is it possible that Bush is using a nominee's religion to send a message that the nominee will be pro-life without really coming out and saying it?

Or is Bush thinking that Senate Repugnantcans can use Alito's religion to deflect Democratic and progressive criticism of Alito on issues like abortion by labeling it "Catholic bashing"?

2. That's interesting. What percentage of the US is Catholic? What are
the odds that most of the Supreme Court would be comprised of Catholics?

3. As a baptized but no longer practicing Catholic I loathe any
Catholic that works directly with shitstain. They are complete and absolute betrayers as they have sold themselves to the evangelical party which lists Catholics at the top of the list of those who need to be burned at the stake.

How any Catholic, especially a Catholic whose name ends with a vowel or a z can work alongside the * machine is beyond me.

And I say to Catholics who speak of pro-life as a means of justifying working for * don't gimmie that pro-life bullshit if you're so fucking pro-life you'd be out protesting the war and capital punishment but it's so much easier to go after women isn't it you filthy filthy rat bastards.

Vete a la verga.

5. I don't think the Founders would have been...
...wild about the prospect of a majority of the USSC being any one religion, let alone Catholic.
