Florida, FEMA, and Jeb Bush.
Edited on Mon Oct-31-05 02:10 PM by Cyrano
There are still roofs here in Florida covered with blue tarps from last year's hurricanes.

This year, it seems that FEMA doesn't have enough blue tarps to hand out. Jeb Bush has advised people to try Home Depot, or their local hardware stores. (They're are none to be had.)

The criminal incompetence of the Bush Administration(s) -- George and Jeb -- should be a lesson to this country. However, the Bush boys and their ilk still own the voting machines, so don't expect to see much change next year.

Perhaps it really is time to take to the streets with pitchforks. However, this would only make it easier for them to do away with us and further their fascist agenda.

I don't know how to say this more strongly: I hate these fucking swine that have seized control of our country, and are well on the way toward eradicating our Constitution, our freedoms and what we always believed to be way of life.

1. Like I'm writing in a newspaper editorial coming out in a couple of days..
I blame the Bushes for a lot of things, and I'm the first to call for removing both George and Jeb from office. But I don't blame lack of hurricane response on them, at least in Wilma's case.

And even in the case of Katrina, it was only George's dumb pick for FEMA head (as well as his other useless appointments) that can bear any blame for what happened.

The truth is, whether the governor was liberal of conservative, we would have dealt with the same crap here in South Florida. The leader is a side issue when the system itself is profoundly retarded.
