The Left's Cruelest Month
Edited on Mon Oct-31-05 01:44 PM by connecticut yankee
Article by William Kristol

OCTOBER, 2005 will turn out to be the left's cruelest month since . . . well, in a long time. A couple of weeks in, it seemed so promising. October was going to be the month that would mark the meltdown of the loathed Bush presidency. Iraq was failing, gas prices were rising, a weak Supreme Court nominee was under assault, and the White House was under siege from a special prosecutor. What more could a Bush-hater want?

3. In some ways I agree
mind you, I didn't read the whole article. This month was not the "meltdown" month. The GOP has nothing to celebrate though either. I think on the whole, we are doing better than they are since the election. What is VERY important is the New Jersey and Virginia governor's races. If we win both of those, I say we had an outstanding year.

6. This same fuck....
claimed on Fox News Sunday that he had nothing to do with Harriett Miers stepping aside. Yet, the Monday after Miers was nominated he appeared on three different shows; Today, Good Morning America and Fox from 7:11 am to 7:26 am. And our media isn't complicit?

7. Kristol is a toolbeat, as usual
It wasn't the Watergate break-in per se, that sunk Nixon, but the cover-up afterwords.

8. the Right is still stapling their ragged bloody wounds
and gulping migraine pills over Meirs, Katrina, Libby, plummeting poll #s. How touching of Kristol to take time out from these efforts to express sympathy over the Left's "cruelest month."

9. Uhh...
1) Gas prices are still too high... which means...
2) The economy still sucks...
3) Miers was a disaster for the right...
4) Don't forget about Hurricane Katrina...
5) Bush's poll numbers are still the worst ever...
6) Scooter getting indicted is only the beginning to Treasongate...
7) More people, including those in the military, think Iraq was/is a disaster.
8) YOU ARE STILL A JACKASS!!!
