Poll question: Will the Racist meme take hold? |
|
Will the Racist meme take hold?
I first heard that 'Dem's refer to Alito as Scalito' from a republican.
Will this turn into "Gore claims to have invented the internets" Or any of the other hundreds of talking point distractions of the last decade?

4. okay so Democrats are 'racist' against 'italians'? |
|
HUH? If the sheep salivate over this poorly constructed meme then we are worse off than we even knew. Italians aren't a race. Until the past 15 years, Italians as a bloc were consistant democratic voters. And THIRD of all, "Alito as Scalito" is not even offensive. It's just a rhyme showing the ideological similarity between the two.
This is bizarre.

5. I agree it is weak, but Tweety, and Orrin Hatch are trying to run with it. |

7. I first heard the nickname on CNN with no reference to what group called |
|
him that. Then later on NPR. In both cases, they were saying that he earned the nickname because he is seen as having a judicial philosophy similar to Scalia. Perhaps they mentioned who nicknamed him that, but I didn't hear it mentioned on either NPR or CNN.
Will it take hold? Who knows. I hope not as it's completely nuts to claim it's a racist nickname, but ya neva know with these all-stars.

If it were to take hold, I'm sure I'd smell the pot-smoke wafting from the U.S. into southern Ontario by now.
