Everyone is so worried about Roe in light of the new nominee
I am not (nor do I think anyone else is) PRO abortion. I am sick of this being a wedge issue that divides this country. We should be fighting for better sex education and EASY/CHEAP access to Birth Control. In a time that birth control exist, we now have the wingsnuts preventing woman from getting it. We should have cut abortion to 10% of what it is, If It was not so easy to obtain. No flame...I am pro-choice but WHY in god heaven earth do we have this many irresponsible people? I understand that accidents happen. Many years ago a dear friend got got pregnant at 38.It was not planned and she did have the baby, not everyone can. We are fighting for the wrong thing IMHO.

1. It's not a matter of numbers.
If only 1 woman a year chose to seek an abortion, it would be her right to do so.

Is there a vulnerable Senate seat in your state?

7. I can't feel too worried.
Anybody who follows polls even casually knows that the American people support abortion rights, so I'm almost looking forward to the issue going to a vote and taking the wind out of the sails of repubs who think that they're in the majority.

14. They'll never play the fetus card, cause it's their only card.
No worries at all. The boy king won't even look at it from a distance, with binoculars. He's the best protection we could have: He'll hold his favorite card to the grave. He's pro choice, anyway. All b***'s are. They helped fund and create Planned Parenthood. Less wellfare babies to rip them off. Fewer gangs. What's not to love?

The Blow Monkey's religious fix comes from his need to quiet his raging addictions. Those monsters are always pushing from the inside of the door to his anxiety closet, and Billy Graham helps keep it locked shut.

He doesn't get hard over abortion. That's not his issue.

6. OK, I can agree with that.
I guess my belief is, even irresponsible fuckups should have access to legal medical procedures.

4. I somewhat agree
but for a different reason. If Roe is overturned, the states will then have to pass laws by ballot referendum or legislative action. I assume that it will result in a muddled set of laws varying from state to state. This engineered chaos will cost America dearly, and there will be social trumoil. The right has been spoiling for this for years.

Truth is, even if the Democrats stand tough and filibuster Alito, the Repugs will exercise the nuclear option, Kaboom! Bye bye Roe. We may as well go down swinging on this one.

We have to triple dog dare 'em to do it. Force their hand and make them over reach, again.

I'm sure Roe won't be the only thing they'll overturn.

8. I have posted this a dozen times
we already LOST ROE.........The states have been deciding for years
quote,,,,,
87 percent of counties in the United States do not have an abortion provider, according to a study by the Alan Guttmacher Institute.
end quote.......
http://www.prochoiceamerica.org/yourstate/whodecides/index.cfm

What the hell are we fighting for when we lost this battle so long ago. In the mean time we are losing a MUCH more important battle on birth control rights & sex education for young people. Many aspects of woman's reproductive rights are under attack
http://www.plannedparenthood.org/pp2/portal/files/portal/medicalinfo/birthcontrol/report-031030-birth-control.xml
quote.....
Four states — Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri, and South Dakota — have laws or regulations that allow pharmacists to refuse to fill prescriptions, under so-called "conscience clauses." And 13 other states have introduced similar bills. On Tuesday, Illinois drew closer to making permanent a temporary rule requiring pharmacies there to fill prescriptions for emergency contraception.

15. I can have an abortion if I'm raped.
The bastards my not keep the morning after pill on hand, but I would be able to have an abortion.

And I wish that they weren't chipping away at rights but there's a big difference between having to drive to another county to have an abortion and having to drive to another state or country.

87% of the counties that do not have an abortionist is more than a mere inconvenience

10. What if I'm a host-organism to a blob of genetic mutation?
What if a woman WANTS to have a child but the sono reveals a horrific genetic anomaly that is either incompatible with life or it is doomed to sub-human existence.

Birth control does NOT provide all of the answers.

While I agree that BCP and education are critical, I will defend Roe until it is OFFICIALLY gone.

There's not a whole hell of a lot I can do about the CIA investigation...but I can oppose Alito right now.

17. You just don't get it, do you?
Roe is a red herring. The REAL target is Griswold and contraception. Roe is merely the vehicle to get to the real target.

20. F*CK! That's the point...I DO GET IT!
They will overturn Griswold....and that would be a tragic. The purpose of English law is to protect the weakest of our people. If the wife that is in an abusive relationship NEEDS to get spousal approval for B/C or abortion we are going back to the dark ages.
