Poll question: Plame or Scalito?
Which is more important for us to focus on. Obviously, both are damn important but what should be our main focus?

1. Actually need to multi-task here
load the guns, do the research on "Scalito" and use procedural tactics to hold off the hearings as long as possible. Get ready to filibuster.

In the meantime, keep hammering on "Traitorgate".

8. But WE need to focus on Scalito.
Fitzpatrick will continue working on Plamegate. Yes, we do need to help keep it in the news, but it is not something we will directly affect. On the other hand, with Scalito, we need to focus on: how he differs from the American mainstream and would rule in ways that would horrify Americans (too late); why Democratic senators should go to the wall to oppose him; and rooting out everything possible on his background.

2. Plame, by FAR, is more important.
Yeah, Scalito is very, very important for us to fight, but let's be quite honest here - we lost that fight in November 2004. That battle is essentially over, and despite our likely filibuster, Alito will likely wind up a Supreme Court Justice, but not without a lot of damage to the GOP's 2006 chances.

On the other hand, Plame is a more immediate battle because it strikes in a very negative way at the heart of this administration. It does not energize their base the way Alito does. And it shows clearly and completely the very extent of their corruption and puts to rest once and for all that we went to war under false pretenses. This and a lot more makes this the important battle to be fighting.

3. Dems must learn
how to walk and chew gum at the same time. Both issues are too important to let either one slide.

5. Right, it shouldn't be either that issue or this issue

When the issues are this grand.

However, I understand the need to pick one issue over the other, as this is what the Media whores do and we have to rely on them to cover the story.

Check out Fitz MO.

What happened last Friday has a "familiar ring to it."

From the AP August 27, 2003, Wednesday, BC cycle

When asked, Fitzgerald would not comment on whether "Official A" was Ryan.

From the Chicago Daily Herald April 3, 2002, Wednesday All

But despite branding two of Ryan's former top aides and his campaign committee as corrupt, Fitzgerald would not say if the investigation will eventually reach Ryan. The vast majority of the corruption uncovered so far happened under his watch when he was secretary of state from 1990 until 1998. The governor has not been accused by prosecutors of any wrongdoing in the past, and Tuesday's indictments did not include him.

"I cannot answer that question," Fitzgerald said when asked about any Ryan involvement. "We cannot discuss people not charged in the indictment."
