What percentage vote in Presidential election vs. off year election? |
|
I'm curious because I think it will mean a huge win for the Democrats.
Look at it this way-->
1) The high vote turnout for Kerry was the result of mostly hatred for Bush and his administration. These same people should come out to vote in 06'. I think they will vote because they know that the only way to hurt, or get rid of Bush, is to have a majority in Congress.
2) Bush's approval numbers are going down the shitter, which means that at 1east 10% of those that voted for him in 2004 will stay home.
3) The rest of the Republican voters will be those that vote in off year elections. My guess is that this number is no more than 80% of those that vote during a Presidential election. I also believe that many of these voters will stay home because of their disgust with politicians.
That gives the Dems the same number of votes, and the Republicans a lot less votes.
I know this isn't very scientific, but I think it makes sense.
Anyone disagree?

1. Better not to worry about vote numbers when DREs count the votes. |

Kerry won the 04 election by about 3% or 5M votes, close a landslide in many ways.
It's just impossible to know anything about any of this as long as the electronic voting machines are counting the votes.
A lot of inroads are being made to undo the rigging of the vote and the restoration of American democracy.
If we just keep plugging away, writing letters, talking it up, contributing to worthy sites and people that are working to make people aware of the voting machine scam that has stolen democracy in America, eventually more progress and soon a new birth of freedom, a real democracy, not a fake cyber one.
