Did I hear this right?
Dobbs said that Alito ruled a ban on late term abortions unconstitutional! Think it was in Pennsylvania.

Some More Media Advice

I'm writing this very very slowly so hopefully you'll be able to understand it. When a lower judge follows a clear Supreme Court precedent he or she is not necessarily doing so because he or she thinks that the decision which set the precedent was decided correctly. The cool thing about getting to be on the Supreme Court is that you have a say in what those binding decisions are, and so you have a chance to overturn the stuff you don't like.

7. That's right. SCOTUS does make the law, despite what Rethugs claim.
Bush v. Gore prime example of their power.

This is what Dobbs is referring to:

In 2000, Judge Alito joined the majority when it struck down New Jersey's ban on the so-called partial birth abortions in Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey v. Farmer. In a concurring opinion, Mr. Alito echoed the majority in arguing that abortion limits must have an exception for the preservation of the health of the mother, because previous Supreme Court rulings required that they do so.

9. Absoutely. The Supremes can revisit Roe, if they choose.
Alito's 91 year old mother said today, "Of course, he's against abortion."

10. Interesting
I also heard he was for Planned Parenthoods side on a case too. Sounds like he's another corporate whore. I hope the fundy base finds out about this and they freak out again. We need to get all the good democratic debators on all the rightwing shows and tell them this if it's true.
