Dean TRASHES both Blitzer and Tweety! His Sword is Mighty his Smile
and "Deflection Skills" have been honed to fine polished steel.

Anyone looking for a "Hero" today...need look no further. Howard Dean is a person...called to bring arms against skulks, slitherers and low life dwellers that dwell here.

Howard Dean...the "Mr. Smith" of AMERICA!!! He showed up just in time!
Even Blitzer or Tweety can't deal with his "purity and honesty of spirit and soul."

His "Goodness" RADIATES when he's interviewed. His Moral Fiber is so obvious it smites down the Blitzer/Matthews Media Whores!

We couldn't get better than Howard Dean, Dennis Kucinich and those of us here on the "Liberal Blogs."

Done GOOD...HOWARD DEAN, DENNIS KUCINICH! We are working FOR YA!

15. Yes!
That's why I love Swamp Rat's art...it shows them as they really are. I agree about Dean, too. We absolutely must NOT let the opposition lead some to abandon a worthy man due to the infamous "scream". I wish we could clone Howard Dean.

take back the Dean scream! There's nothing to be ashamed of the scream. It was a political rally and everyone there was excited. :eyes:

22. Oh, it's the same tactic they used at the Wellstone memorial service...
I'm sick and tired of them and their games, and us playing by their rules. Fuck them. We need to start making our own rules, and playing by them.

7. Had Blitzer on the defensive
Wolfie was basically reduced to whining "but but but it's not illegal for Cheney to tell his chief of staff that Plame was an agent..." and Howard came back with a big smile and the comment that Cheney is going to be investigated, if the Dems in Congress have anything to say about it. There was more, and it was good, but I can't remember it!!

8. That's likely because he isn't sure...
...who it came from. And unlike the Republicans, isn't willing to just lie and shoot shit from their mouth for purely PR reasons. It's the difference between honesty and integrity, and the glaringly obvious lack thereof of the Republicans.

33. That shouldn't keep him from saying something like
"How do you know that's from a Democrat?" or

"That sounds like a Republican dirty trick to me" or

"I absolutely denounce what is said there, whoever sent it."

11. My husband has really good antennae for that.
He is an excellent, nearly flawless judge of character in a person. He felt immediately that Dean was a person of integrity and honor. Thus his support of him and his extreme pleasure at him being the DNC chair.

I've met him in person. He's the exact same person whether giving a speech, talking to him one on one or on TV. Because he's genuine. Very, very warm.

16. I love Howard Dean, but in this instance, he DESERVED it
I was horrified that he could not use the words Pro Choice in his sentence...refused to do it, stammered over it, and basically hung every woman out to dry so the Democratic Party can stay firmly in the center and bent over...I am ALT/TABBING between my openly HOSTILE letter to the DNC, specifically Dean, and this screen.

18. Because!!! Pro Choice is a NOOSE AROUND DEM PARTY's NECK!
There isn't ONE Supreme Court Judge that Chimp would Nominate that ISN'T AGAINST "Pro-Choice!"

Dean CALLED THEM ON IT...lHe said this Judge has other problems. Live with it...deal with it.

Dean and many of us are SICK TO HELL of PLAYING REPUG GAMES WITH THEM!

Dean turned it ALL ..BACK ON THEM!

Go Howard! You "get the game." Same old tired argument...not for Dean he expands it and broadens "women's RIGHT TO CHOOSE" and takes it to GUN OWNERSHIP! ...PRIVACY RIGHTS!

Good for Dean...he sees the "subtleties, nuances and irony that the Repugs are so Vulnerable to ..now that the "Internets" are Onto Their Game and How they Play It!!!

One "Truth Teller." And forget Kerry and the rests crap about Poverty and the Rest...America is Focused on HARD BALL ...GAMESMANSHIP!

It's all Baseball, Football and Basketball. There aren't too many POOR in America's BIG GAMES these days. And, if you are POOR you sure kept electing George Bush and his Father and Reagan...because either you didn't SHOW UP TO VOTE, SAT AT HOME...or didn't CARE ENOUGH.

 Sorry...Dean's job isn't to take care of those who didn't vote or who voted against their own interests.

appreciate what Dean is trying to do. He's attempting to "frame" the issue of choice as a matter of privacy, which it is - of course. But, he's also trying to bring back in so called "pro-life" Catholics as they fled to Bush in recent elections.

I also understand what Matthews was trying to accomplish. He said previously that Dems need to take a position and offer an alternative, Bill Clinton recently said the same thing. I agree to an extent, but I also appreciate what Dean is trying to accomplish in not letting them frame the issues.

I wish he'd have said something like this: "The Republicans in this administration are not pro-life, or they would not have endorsed this war. Democrats are pro-privacy and that means of course that by and large, we are pro-choice."

27. He knows that he barely get's a few words in before Blitzer/Tweety Attack.
I understand what you say "mzmolly" but look at the reality of what they've done and are doing to us.

Once Fitz didn't indict Rove the "Whore M$M" turned back on the Dems with FANKS (Halloween?) and begun their Propaganda Attack. Rove is BACK IN GEAR...He's Golden...Saved.

So...I didn't feel that Dems reframing away from the Repugs big "Kill Roe vs Wade" Mantra was wrong.

I think we need to find another way to achieve our goals.

But...yeah...it's what's important to me too..what you say..but we need to get off the old way the Repugs can always "push our buttons."

35. I agree. I understand both sides of this issue, I really do.
I know that Dean has information about demographics and WHO we lost in previous elections, and I'm certain his framing of this issue is strategic. He's also consulted with Lakoff on how to frame things and I think it's taking us a bit to get used to.

But, I am always endeared to the Doctor and I appreciate so much what he's accomplishing for the Party.

23. Dean was drawing a valid distinction and Matthews was too thick to see it
I was stupified by the utter stupidity Matthews demonstrated on the privacy vs. choice point raised by Gov Dean.

Dean's point was that keeping government out of the private lives of Americans is neither a pro-life nor pro-choice position. In fact, it's a traditional Republican position!!!

For some reason, Matthews couldn't let go of his "gotcha journalism" compulsion, and insisted that Dean was actually setting out a "pro-choice" argument. Even worse, he was absolutely rude in cutting Dean off because he wouldn't use the words Matthews tried to put in his mouth.

What a vacuous, self-serving shill.

The right to PRIVACY AND PERSONAL FREEDOM - KEEPING THE GOVERNMENT OUT OF OUR PERSONAL LIVES - IS THE MESSAGE, is the proper Response.

26. For the last time, go and look up what he has always said on this issue
He was stammering because Tweety was having at him. I'm sorry he didn't say your "word of the day" but he never does.

I take it you weren't a Deaniac during the campaign, or you'd recognize his normal talking point. So he didn't say "pro" and "choice". He said "privacy" instead. Works for me.

32. No not you. I'm getting overly emotional about defending Dean
It's bugging me. I suspect I'm overreacting, and I suspect I know the reason why. But of course, I'm agreeing about Dean and the right to privacy. That's why I brought it up in the first place.

I don't normally get this hyped up unless it's Kerry I'm defending.

But damn it, it shouldn't be a surprise that Dean answers questions of choice with answers of privacy. Even I know that, and I don't know most of his stances all that well.

I can't believe people are taking Tweety's side because Dean didn't answer with the words they would have used. Tweety isn't suddenly astute. He's his normal Tweety self. And Dean is only being his normal Dean self.

It's just ticking me off, that's all. But not at you.

I'll get some Taco Bell. I'll be fine.
