5. My wife & I just voted in NJ
Seems to be a huge turnout. Full parking lot at the school and the old timers signing people said it was a very high turnout so far this morning. Good news for Dems.

Both the wife and I voted straight Democratic Party line. I'm convinced our next Governor will be John Corzine.
NJ BLUE!

9. Polls Not Opened Yet In California
But when I do vote today it will be a big "NO!" on every single one of Steroid Arnie's miserable initiatives.

Spent the last 4 weekends walking the streets of my precinct handing out literature. Almost everyone I spoke to agreed that Arnold and his damned proposals suck.

We're shutting the goon down today.

"Oh!" gasped the surprised President. "You really are the Gropinator!"

11. Me too!
Kaine, Deeds, Byrne, and a write-in for my husband for a seat where only a Republican was running.

Took the kids with me and let them press the button as I explained who we were voting for and why. Now they know that in this house, the Democrats are the good guys. :)

16. I voted
Our races were strictly local. We had several council seats open and the mayor's race. I hate it when they say it is a non-partisan race. It is just an excuse for the candidates to hide their party affiliations. We had a republican mayor and a democratic challenger. I voted for the democrat, naturally. For the rest of the ballot I simply voted for the challengers. We need fresh blood in Florida.

18. Yes..
... in Texas, there are 9 proposed constitutional amendments, I voted against every one of them.

In Dallas, there is the "strong mayor" proposal, I voted against it.

There are several other issues in Dallas, I voted for some and against others.

After I stuffed my ballot into the counting machine, it said I was the 24th voter. So much for turnout.

But the apathy bug won't find any friends here today. I'm eager to do everything and anything I can to make sure arnold has a bad day. And, thereby, a bad whatever's-left-of-a-short-stay-in-Sacramento.

Straight Democrat in NYC. Really good news my Dad whose somewhat conservative (not neocon) just voted for Corzine and straight Dem. He voted for Regan and Bush the first time (Kerry the second) I hope he's converted for good.

30. Yes, Prince William Co., VA
Bit of a line with maybe 50 voters in it. I swear I could pick out the repubs...most of the people in line, seemed happy, misshapen heads, etc.

Got signed in and then went to the 'activator' spot. I asked the lady there what an activator was and she said that she didn't know!
They put a card with a chip on it in this machine and then it is 'activated', I presume. Next to the machines which were ABC (anybody but cheney??) Edge machines. There's a box underneath, probably a PC, which hopefully counts the votes correctly. I was tempted to try to insert my activator card twice, to see what would happen but the lady there was watching and took the card when it was ejected.

Checked the ABC Edge website and the company is Sequoia Voting Systems. Their claims sound OK:
-Proprietary firmware on closed system prevents hacker access
-Ballots securely stored on multiple forms of memory
-Ballots can be printed to accommodate hand recounts

We still need some type of ID that the voter receives with a code number which can be checked that the vote was correctly recorded.

31. By absentee in CA

Did my part in voting against most of Arnies props. My teacher wife persuaded me to vote in favor of Prop 74, which extends the probationary period for public school teachers from two to five years.

Also, my little area in the suburbs of Sacramento is trying to become a city. I kind of have mixed emotions about this...
