Political stunt on the horizon: an Iraq pull-out by Fall 2006. |
|
Swami says: I think this administration will start a "pull-out" in the fall in order to assuage public grief over the Iraq War.
I get that feeling. That or Piggly Wiggly Karl will try to wiggle his piggle out of the Iraqi poke and evade further public scrutiny.
But the public WILL scrutinize. And that will be Karl's downfall. This pig ain't as bright as he thinks.

3. Oh so true. It's a death trap because if we pull out and lose (which just |
|
avoid losing in the long run) we can point out how many lives, how much of our money, and how much of the Iraq nation was destroyed on the neocon need to try to control the world. If we stay and keep losing troops and having to pony up billions, another win for our side.

Lots of troops, flags, TV crews. It will be held in October in a major city with a hot senate race. St Louis? Philadelphia? Cincinnati?

That would prove it Murtha was a messenger. Already Bush has changed his tone saying Mr. Murtha has a right to disagree. Who wants to speculate that a message was sent by the Pentagon by way of Mr. Murtha? (Other than little Timmy Russert)

6. Didn't Murtha say that? |
|
It seems like Murtha was on every morning show today, but I think he said to Tim Russert (or was it Wolf?) that he thought that the troops would be out by next year...2006. Then he was asked if he thought it would be right before the November election, and he said (paraphrasing) you can count on it. (He was implying that the Republicans would USE IT to boost their ratings before the election.)
Did anyone else see this?

8. Yes he said that to Russert. |
|
Ruseert asked if by the election in 2006 if I recall correctly Murtha smiled he did agree to 2006. About that time he asked Mr. Murtha about his contacts in the Pentagon. Bush also comes out with some kind words about Mr. Murtha's right to disagree.
Curious isn't it?

12. "But the public WILL scrutinize" |

The majority of the public will only scrutinize if the MSM allows it to i.e. actually REPORTING the news.

14. The public has its own mind. |

If we are to believe that adults can contextualize sex or violence on television, the we should believe that adults can contextualize a political stunt... look at those poll numbers now that the fear factor is wearing thin.

The republicans are not stupid...They have to hold to the House's, a Bush/Cheney/Rove MUST! Nothing will be more helpful, than to supposedly bring home the troops for the republicans.
And after the election Bush will then be safe from proscution...And he can always find a reason to increase the troop strength again, back to where it is now...
Nothing is too great a sacrifice, to make sure BushCo is not prosecuted and able to continue to carry out the republican corporate fascist ideology and agenda...
Imperialism, (privatization) Social Security, environmental destruction for corporate interest, etc. (They know nothing else).
It won't & can't be done if they lose either houses'''and the ultimate republican goal is to keep their greedy agenda moving forward.
And since nothing has really been accomplished, watch the electronic voting machines do their "magic" much to our dismay... No one has stopped them, not yet...
After the elections it'll be too late....AGAIN!

17. Yeah, our troops have become hostages in a way, so it would be |
|
appropriate to do a Regean. Probably total pullout (or the lie of one) on Veterans Day.
