Is there a bigger whore than Tom Brokaw?
He seems to feel his whole purpose in "moderating" the Democratic debate is to defend the Bush administration.

It is nice than he occasionally lets the candidates have a few words to say about the issues in between his condescending speeches, though.

1. I used to respect him! Tragic. Are there no honest anchors left?

4. didn't Tom get a "friendly letter" back in 2001?
reminding him of what happens to those who do not behave?

6. Maybe my standards have been tragically lowered due to the Koppel
(spit) and Jennings (ptooey) ambushes. But I think Tom's
doing the best job of the bunch. At least he's touching
on issues and not just attacking the guys with gotcha crap.

I'm pretty damn pleased.

7. No
I haven't seen such dewey-eyed expressions of Bush-love since junior high.

Disgraceful.

8. that whole "Clinton's fault" business was ridiculous
He just kept going on and on -- Clinton's fault! Clinton's fault! -- like a demented rightwing parrot.
I do think Wes Clark straightened his ass out though by reminding him that at some point, Bush has to take responsibility for what happens on his watch -- a concept that seems to elude the media whores.

9. I can tolerate hard-hitting questions, but
I will not tolerate stupidity like that "Nation of Islam" crap and the questions that aren't intended to reveal anything about the candidate but rather to insult the candidate (e.g. "What's wrong with your campaign?").
