It's demeaning for a Presidential candidate talking about policy to be buzzed to be quiet after 60 seconds.

I'm glad there was no buzzer tonight.

Having one questioner also worked well because they didn't have to spend time shifting focus between questioners.

Also, Brokaw's questions were the right length.

Peter Jenning's went on-and-on as the candidates waited for a chance to respond.

1. I like the buzzers
They forse the canidate to get to the point and not go on tirades that the questioner won't interupt.

Maybe if the buzzer went off after 2 minutes, it would be ok, but I hate the buzzer going off after 1 minute. It usually takes more than 1 minute to address an important policy.

I prefer no buzzer, like tonight.

2. whats demeaning is hearing them
it shows that the speaker can't give the courtesy required.

All are guilty, Kucinich the least. Don't say I never had anything good to say about him.

It's like something you'd see in a high school debate.

7. I'm glad there were no buzzers...
they don't allow enough time and make the candidates look like jerks when they go over even if they NEED to go over to finish their thought.
