Any other DUers who have NOT fallen in love with any candidate?
This falling in love with candidates stuff is too deep for me or something. I don't get it. Love is a pretty damn big word where I come from and it just don't seem to fit into the bloodsport of politics to me. Maybe I am missing something here, but let me go on the record here as one who does not love any politician. Not before, not now, not ever.

Don

1. Hi!

I do not support any of the candidates, nor have I "fallen in love" with any of them.

:hi:

2. I'm with ya
Sure, I'll have subjective feelings about this candidate or the other, but in the end it's like hiring someone to do a job. Respect? Trust? Sure. Love? Seems like a bad emotional investment to make, to me anyway.

3. I'm with you
I support Kucinich but find slavishness in anyone (including myself) to be repugnant. I almost blush at how fawning some of the candidates supporters are when I read the posts. But live and let live--if they need to be worshipful of public figures I hope they get a thrill from sycophantic obsequiousness. :P

I find the adoring pop music posts just as tawdry. ;)

4. I haven't

I don't invest that much emotion in someone I don't know personally. I get impatient with people who treat their candidate like the Messiah. They're all human, they all have faults, they all have feet of clay. On a good day they're all electable; on any given day they're all unelectable. They will all disappoint you, given enough time.

You may call it cynism; I call it realism born of age, and long experience.

5. I'm ABB, but "Anybody" is winning right now.
My guy was Gephardt. Unmatched record of standing tall for progressive causes, unabashed friend to labor.

Edwards is now my choice, but it's far from love.

I'd really like to be for Dean, but I don't think he can beat bush. Too many goofs.

I can't get behind Kerry - way too many flip-flops on important issues. I know this is trivial, but I think it is very telling that he paralyze half his face and expect no one to notice.

I don't buy Clark's explaination of his previous pro-bush statements.

The rest are doing a great service in voicing important issues, but can't beat bush and they know it.

6. I can not be a true believer
in anything. I am never with out SOME disbelief, or skepticism especially in politics.
I take a broad perspective, and need lots of convincing.

I'm not much of a joiner either. No I an not in love with any of the candidates, and may yet again end up voting for the lesser of 2 evils.

Done it before.
