Has Kerry been robo-calling against Dean?
Who is robo-calling against Dean?

It's no secret that Dean has faced some nasty robo-calling and push-polling in Iowa and NH, as well as NM and elsewhere. This exerpt from an upcoming GQ article gives a glimpse of what Dean has faced over the last few weeks:
Fast forward to the days before IA: Trippi's "cell phone rings. It's his pollster, Paul Maslin, who not

3. No way. The scripts on those calls are RNC dirty tricks.
Weren't they also reporting that the script said Dean was Skull and Bones? Wouldn't that be a way to make it a topic against Kerry?

Haven't you figured out that's what they do?

btw...Kerry's camp already knew their numbers were on the rise. They wouldn't have risked the lead they knew they had through their internal polls with dirty tricks like that..

There was only one camp that knew they were on the slide.

23. yes, he went off script and said Dean practiced environmental racism.
THAT would be a typical slam from an enraged Democrat. (heh...look at DU.)

Only a Repub would make a script that was antisemitic or meant to hurt two candidates at the same time, as per the Skull and Bones call.

4. I hope they get the FEC in on this to investigate it
whoever is responsible for this should be banned from holding elected office every again. This is election fraud and disenfranchisement of voters to give them the wrong caucus addresses. It's disgusting, truly disgusting. If it's found that the eventual nominee (should it not be Dean) is the one behind this, I will NOT reward such felonious behavior with my vote. That's just as bad as what Bush did in 2000.

6. You know, the article itself states there is no evidence
and yet people who hate Kerry will take it as the gospel truth. I guess "innocent until proven guilty" means nothing anymore

13. hahahahaha!!!! No way...you didn't!
you said:

I guess "innocent until proven guilty" means nothing anymore

Could the irony be any better!?

Your candidate doesn't seem to think so!

Remember back when he chastized Dean for suggesting that if bin laden was captured that he would be tried in our courts and he would be presumed innocent....

Do you remember what your candidate's response to that was?

"Governor Dean, what were you thinking!"

If you really believe in innocent until guilty you better pick another candidate!!!

And this Dean supporter condemns such actions.

15. well
"The person who made the call is a young volunteer whose remarks were not authorized or condoned by this campaign," Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill said in a statement. "It's a terrible mistake for a young person to make, and he is apologizing to the person he called. While we appreciate his support, we have asked him to leave the campaign."

Seems to explain it to me. I'm sure all the campaigns had at least one overzealous person who did something like this.

22. That was the one person they caught on tape.
How many people had to be doing that for ONE to get caught on tape? Don't EVEN try to claim this was a single individual acting like a maverick in the campaign. It was the one instance that got caught on tape.

a rove undercover plant to discredit both campaigns. They'd like to play one against the other. Don't fall for it.

21. For those not familiar with canvassing...
it is possible that Kerry would have the information about who were Dean supporters....

When you go out, you have a scale that goes from 1 to 5...when you hear people talking about ones and twos, this is what they are refering to...

1) Committed supporter to your candidate
2) Leaning towards your candidate
3) Undecided
4) Leaning towards another candidate
5) Committed supporter of another candidate

We are instructed to learn who that other candidate would be, but not to press if they don't cough it up. I found that most voters are free with that information, as they feel comfortable talking to other Democrats....

If this is true for other campaigns, than it is possible that Kerry would have had a list of his own of people who declared themselves Dean supporters or leaners.....

It would than be very easy to call these supporters to supress their votes or change them.....

So claims that it is impossible for a Dem to have that information is in fact wrong....in fact, it is more probable that another Dem would have this information than it is for the repugs to have it...

25. Repub Dirty Trick to discredit BOTH Dean and Kerry
Think about it.

If you fall for the push poll, it discredits Dean.
If you don't fall for the push poll, then you think Kerry is a NUT JOB anti-semite homophobe. (except that's part of the dirty trick too, so you have been tricked)

This is a double whammy, folks, brought to you Rove or someone like him --
