|
Who do you think will get the biggest bump from the debate tonight / had the most soundbites?

but he'll get nothing out of it. Sharpton and Clark were next best. The rest were all pretty blah.

7. Disclosure - I didn't see the whole thing yet. |
|
Waiting for it to replay.
I saw Clark give a good answer on religion (church and state), Dean get in a jab at Kerry, Dennis and Al do some good stuff.
I'm voting for Dean because of the "after action" report on the Tweety show in which Dean CONTINUES to tell the truth that Kerry and Edwards seem to avoid, that the war was illegitimate from the work "GO", that Saddam murdered all those people when REagan and Bush 41 were enabling him, that war on terror is a fake and that we should stop cozying up to dictators.
As I keep saying, the Dean campaign means more than just winning the nomination (although I still see that as quite possible) but more importantly gives Dean a platform to speak some unpleasant truths to the American people.
And the media still have to pay attention to him. For a while.
Go Howard! He's walking the talk.

He told it like it is. He even got Matthews to bring up the JEB Harris voter scrub list of Florida 2000. The he said the truth. How no Dem's backed the Nat. black caucus against the Florida (fake) felon voter scrub list. No one in the country knows this truth on how Bush, JEB and Harris stole some 50,000 votes from Gore in 2000. Go Al Go... mak'em speak the truth.

9. Wow, Joe Lieberman actually participates on this board! |
|
Seriously, Sharpton was great, but of the three candidates who I consider to actually have a chance, Clark was by far the best.
Kerry wasn't bad, and in a couple of places very good, Dean too but he was pretty subdued. I have to admit I didn't pay that much attention to Dennis Kucinich. Kucinich is always good, but it's easier for him to be a gadfly because he isn't going to win.
I was surprised at how bland Edwards was tonight.
Lieberman was actually good for Lieberman, but to me that isn't good. He seems to have a way of denigrating the entire Democratic party to get himself ahead, like how he puts Democrats in a position of seeming to not care about national security because they don't support removal of Saddam at all costs. It's untrue and I don't like it. Hope he's gone soon.

The other candidates were great too, but I think Clark won it hands down, if for nothing other than his foreign policy answers. Foreign policy is Clark's terra firma and he absolutely KICKED ASS on those questions tonight.
Even if you don't particularly like Clark, you gotta hand it to him on this debate. He stayed on message and refused to take Brokaw's bait. He was able to expound on the tenets of his domestic policy platform, AND managed to get in several well-placed barbs at GWB to boot. All without going negative on the other Dem candidates.
General Clark made me proud tonight.
GO WES GO!
