It's been said, on this site, that the Superbowl is a pretty good indicator of the primary and vice versa.
They claim that the fact that John Kerry won NH indicates that the Pats will win the Superbowl, which isn't exactly what we would call a risky bet in the first place.
But given the fact that most people care more about football than politics -- and you know that's true -- do you think there's a possibility that some people in South Carolina will vote against Kerry if that Pats win to "punish" him because he comes from Mass.?
I know it's kind of out there... just wondering.

1. I doubt that primary voters are that kind of football fan. |

Carolina? Versus New England?
If New England destroys Carolina, it's possible the Carolina people might be out for some New England blood.

3. You make that sound like there's a history there. |

I'm not sure these two teams have ever faced each other more than once or twice, so I can't believe there is bad blood there between these two groups of fans. I know there's that whole North and South thing, but with respect to football, I just don't see it impacting the SC Primary. I'm sure there are fans who would vote their football allegiance... If those types of fans voted. I think people that petty just wouldn't bother voting at all, even in the general election.
