Al Franken gets in a good dig at O'Reilly
Also, he's moving back to MN--maybe to run for office later?

Q Could you tell us why you're moving the show to Minneapolis?

A Because I can. I'm an empty-nester now, and I'd always thought about moving back to Minnesota. You can do a radio show from pretty much anywhere. Also, I'm thinking of getting involved politically here, so I moved at the first opportunity to come back.

What you guys probably don't know is that I've formed a PAC, called Midwest Values PAC, MVP. I'm going to be raising money for progressive organizations and candidates -- here in Minnesota, in the Midwest and around the country.

Q So you've met troops there, you've talked to them there. Every so often we get an angry letter to the editor from a returned soldier who says, "Stop criticizing the effort. We're doing wonderful things over there, what's wrong with you?"

What's your sense of what the soldiers in Iraq think about what they're doing?

A I go over there for a number of reasons, one of which is: I didn't serve. That's my way of serving; I tell some jokes and then leave. I'll be in Iraq probably three or four days this time. We'll go to Kuwait and Afghanistan.

During the whole trip, my wife is crazy. She's mad at me for going. She says, "You don't see Bill O'Reilly going on a USO tour to Iraq," and I tell her that's not fair; *he has no talent.* And you want to be fair to him.

The troops don't need to see O'Reilly. They need somebody who is intentionally funny. ;)

4. LOL
He uses that joke on average about once a month. I think he told it on his very first AAR broadcast. It's funny.

I'm reading The Truth with Jokes. So far, I have to say it's his very best book.

I'm reading that off and on too. I haven't been able to read much lately with exam(s) and all so hopefully during the break I can read a lot. I read his "Lies" book and it was pretty good and I'm enjoying "The Truth with Jokes." He does really well at writing. I'm sure it'll be nice to live in your home town with all your family.

8. I hope Al is the guy that can unseat that Norman Coleman
asshole.

I've always thought Minnesotans were smarter than putting that jerk in office.

I still smell that fishy smell of the way Paul Wellstone met his death.

Was it Murder?
