Why I will vote for Dean in my state no matter what happens
Edited on Fri Jan-30-04 01:37 AM by dsc
between now and then. Dean has earned my vote. He brought issues I care about to the forefront. He has inspired me to believe that I might actually have the same rights as everyone else. He stood up for me in Vermont and continues to do so in places where it is not popular.

He has fought the enemy and he won in Vermont. For all of that he deserves my vote. And he will get it.

I have voted for losers before and if I have to I will again. I would rather be loyal and correct than disloyal and wrong. Even if it means my vote goes to the loser.

I hope against hope that Dean will pull this out. I actually think he will. But even if he doesn't. I will be canvasing on Saturday. I will be voting for him on March 2. I don't care how many primaries Kerry wins on Feb 3. I don't care how many primaries he wins any where else. There are worse things than voting for losers. Being disloyal is one.

1. Good for you
I wont be forcing anyone to get behind Kerry. I will encourage people to take a nice look at him but I respect your decision. What Dean did as governor of Vermont is something I have a lot of respect for.

2. I'm hoping too
I think the media has really given him such a bad rap. Anger, immaturity...BAH! I really don't understand this 'electability' thing. Why would a person vote for someone else because they think other voters will vote for the 'someone else'. That just doesn't make sense to me. Vote for who you agree with and want to win!

3. Voting for losers.
In 2000, I supported Bradley...then McCain...then voted for Gore.

I hit the "trifecta" there.

Nothing to shame yourself about voting for the losers.

5. Probably 90% of the votes I've cast general elections
have been for the loser.

4. Right on.
There's nothing wrong with that.

6. Nothing wrong with voting for losers
I started out my voting career by voting for George McGovern (yeah, I'm OLD) :)

I have already sent in my absentee ballot for New Mexico's February 3rd primary for Dean.

I have no regrets over voting for "losers." I think of my choices as winners. Vote with both your heart and your head and your integrity is preserved. Vote for whomever everyone else seems to be voting for and compromise that integrity.

And on that note, I will also be voting for whomever the candidate is come November.
