New Zogby Tracking: Kerry double digits leads in MO, AZ.
Below is the raw data. Kerry is running very well in SC and OK as well (results are below). The shocking thing is that Dean is below 15% in all these states and as Zogby points out in his analysis, if these trends continue Dean will fail in picking up ANY delegates. That would finish him.

1. Edwards is almost out of money.

Maybe Edwards can get a bounce out of SC.

isn't taking the full NH bounce into account but it looks like a horse race in SC (So they just said on C-Span)

5. Wowzers.

It became pretty clear to me that Dean and Clark have become dead men walking in the last two days, needing something little short of miracles. But to see the blow to them proving this great is pretty astonishing. Edwards within an inch of further demise is also remarkable. Democratic primary voters are definitely a volatile bunch this year.

7. Yeah, what a SURPRISE....
The press murders Dean and diminishes Edwards and ignores Clark, Kucinich,Edwards and Sharpton and you wonder why they are going nowhere fast? You have the media the night of New Hampshire stating "Kerry is obviously the people's choice" over and over and over again. The same night they are saying the it's time for Dean and Clark to drop out.

Yeah, the IA and NH bounce is amazing. Especially when 'the bounce' is inflated by the media.

I'm happy for the Kerry supporters that their candidate is doing so well. But it disappoints me to see people complacent about the media's attempt to control the outcome of our primary. Seems like just a few months ago, they were all a bunch of bush-controlled media whores.

I realize when you support a candidate that it probably seem okay when the media bias works in your favor because you think your candidate is the best and he/she deserves to be number one. I don't know how I would react because that hasn't happened yet for my candidate.

I'm not saying Kerry and his supporters haven't worked hard to get where they are at. But I know the other candidates have worked just as hard and are just as good and the media coverage or lack of it has obviously effected their chances for the nomination.

I hope the candidates all do well next week. (Especially Clark!) It's too early to let the press have a single target in their sights IMHO. Let's baffle em' with bullshit and keep them guessing just bit longer. That will make Rove and companys job a little bit harder in the fall.

Go Wes!

6. The news of Trippi's departure
Edited on Fri Jan-30-04 08:38 AM by kstewart33
did not help because it signaled a great deal of instability in the campaign, as did the news that the campaign is almost broke.

8. Aw, frig....Kerry is running away with it
Maybe two of Clark, Dean and Edwards will drop out after Feb 2, especially if Edwards loses in SC. My best scenario is if Kerry takes everything but OK, which Clark wins. THen Dean and Edwards and Lieberman drop out. THen it would be just Kerry vs Clark. Then maybe Clark could really challenge Kerry.

The problem with that is that the conventional wisdom among the pundits is that if Edwards ever gets one on one with anyone, even Kerry in a debate, he could break out and be unbeatable--he is that talented.

I would definitely rather get Clark over Kerry. Sometimes I wonder whether I would prefer Edwards over Kerry, though.

10. You can at least be glad that a liberal is doing so well. ;)
Kerry is the most liberal candidate in my lifetime and I couldn't be more happy.

If Senator Kerry can take AZ, MO, and SC, this thing is over.

11. it's pretty amazing
how far dean has fallen.

He's finished, especially with Granholm's endorsement of Kerry coming up in Michigan and all the momenntum Kerry will get out of more or less sweeping the primaries Feb. 3rd.

12. Good news for Clark
If he can take OK and NM, place in AZ and show in SC, he'll be in fine shape.
