Filibuster proof Congress
A caller on C-Span just said with a filibuster proof Congress, Bush won't have to continue his big spending. It's the fault of the Democrats who refuse to get on board unless there is plenty of pork in a bill for their state (and because there is not enough Republicans in Congress Bush has to agree to get the bill passed).

We stand to lose everything yet we seem hell bent on running a liberal with a higher rating then Ted Kennedy, a liberal whose long senate career is a gold mine for the other side (for example, on CNN the RNC stated that Kerry voted against spending for the military equipment which has been vital to the success in Afghanistan). I'm sure they can convince people that Kerry would make Bush appear tight with the spending. Conservatives hate Bush's big spending. Rove's answer - a Democrat they fear will spend more than Bush.

1. When this happens, please remember...
When this happens, please remember that you were one of the many
folks routinely skewering the one candidate who was willing to
speak out, EARLY AND OFTEN, about what needed to be done.

And one of the things he was speaking out about was the need to
re-take the Congress as well as to win the Presidency.

2. Most of that show was bush bashing
the republicans did not seem very thrilled with him... the correct messages will swing some.

3. There is insanity in the land
There are actually people who believe what that caller said, and worse. It is insane, but it is out there. The extremes people will go to to avoid calling Bush to account for all he has done and is doing boggles the mind.

Maybe flouridation of the water WAS a bad idea after all?

If so, the move to push Kerry down our throats can only be seen as a matching pathology on our side of the fence.
