and his abilities, I am now vastly underwhelmed. This article describes the behavior of a petulant teenager, not a 46-year-old man. I'm sorry it to Dean so long to ditch him.

wonder if they changed the tone of the article after the news came he left the campaign. This wasn't supposed to run until later. :(

6. After last night's debate, |
|
the show following had a telephone interview with Mr. Trippi.
He professed his continued support for Dr. Dean.
He also broke down several times. It was quite amazing. It's clear this meant a lot to him and I really felt for the guy!

Which is what makes this GQ interview all the more charming. I mean, obviously it could've been framed any number of ways, but I think the overall picture is there, it just depends on your outlook.
What's important to me is whether or not someone is geniune. And I feel 'geniune' from the Dean campaign.

He is not a political hack. It appeared like he really cared.

Pretty heartbreaking story about Joe - you really feel for the guy and want to sign up for the Dean campaign after this.

Tempers flare, egos rise and continue to rise. Trippi is 'maker' - which means he is type A, always on the go, and completely 100% convinced that he is the greatest, capeable guy on Earth. No different than any other man behind the man.
ON EDIT: This article is downright HEARTBREAKING!!! It also shows what a kind and truly good soul Walter Mondale was.
Even if you're not a Dean supporter, yyou should read this article.

12. The Dean campaign knew it was over even before the vote in IA & NH |
|
Even someone as talented as Trippi could not make a sow's ear of a candidate into a silk purse.

I found your comment about Dean to be pretty rude. I was simply expressing my opinion, too. Have a nice day. :hi:

I still maintain that it was way too much about Trippi. Campaign managers should be not seen and not heard. They should move seamlessly through the campaign and the media. When I heard that he was signing autographs, I lost all respect for his management style. I tired of getting emails signed by Trippi, soliciting money. I've noticed the tone of the campaign has already changed a bit since he's gone.
I'm glad he believes in Dean.
