One positive aspect of a President Edwards
at least he's unlikely to start looking for a new job two years into his first term. It's mroe than we can say for his little stint in congress.

1. And here's one of several negative aspects:
Democrats lose another senate seat -- for good.

Then again, I guess that happens anyway, doesn't it?

3. It sure does
Erskine Bowles couldn't beat a female carpetbagger. We're going to fight our asses off, but it's not looking good.

i think edwards stands a good chance of beating kerry and an excellent chance of beating bush.

but the way things are going in the white house, the bushies are going to beat themselves.

5. A hunger to make a difference in the world - not satsifed by fillibuster
Edited on Fri Jan-30-04 10:42 AM by AP
Being in the minority party in congress probably isn't the best use of his immense skills.

Some people might think the power to fillibuster is a great thing. Apparently Edwards doesn't think it's the best think he can do with his life.

I can't believe people would want to stand in the way of a guy who wants to apply his great talents to helping people just becaues they're upset that he wants to do that.
