Moderate Independent.....Clark was CLEAR winner of the debate...
last night. I agree. The man took no guff from Brokaw, corrected his mis-quotes of things he had said and he was completely on message getting his ideas out. He rocked last night! The Independent Moderate seems to agree. Now, all we have to do is figure out how to get him some air time. ;) This is an EXCELLENT article about the debate.

<snip>The biggest story of the night was answers from Senator Edwards that were incomprehensible.

Asked by moderator Tom Brokaw of NBC News if he believes we have gotten enough help from our Arab allies in the War on Terror, Edwards chose to go back to a previous point and made the following unthinkable statement:

"Can I just go back a moment ago -- to a question you asked just a moment ago? You asked, I believe, Senator Kerry earlier whether there's an exaggeration of the threat of the war on terrorism.

"It's just hard for me to see how you can say there's an exaggeration when thousands of people lost their lives on September the 11th."

Let's repeat that:

"It's just hard for me to see how you can say there's an exaggeration when thousands of people lost their lives on September the 11th."

That was completely absurd and a huge moment in this debate. Edwards, whose weakest point already is his lack of gravitas and foreign policy credentials, now said flat out that he is incapable of understanding that, despite the fact that 9/11 occurred, the President could still have lied and exaggerated.

What does one have to do with the other? The answer is nothing<snip>

<snip>
And another reason why General Clark was the clear winner in this debate. He made sure to make that case right up front:

"I want to make very clear that I'm not a career politician, I'm not a Washington insider. I am an outsider. And I'm running this race as someone who's spent his life in leadership and public service in this country. Not someone who's part of the problem, I'll be the solution to the problem."

7. Yawn.
That tired line again?

How many times does he have to get attacked by the Rove machine before you'll realize he's fighting for us?

13. No,
I am saying that and the Moderate Independent is saying that the Bush administration DID exaggerate the threat of Iraq. Where are the WMD? Where's the yellowcake? Where's the nuclear bombs? Where are the biological mobile labs? Where are the STOCKPILES of anthrax and botulin? THEY DO NOT AND DID NOT EXIST. Edwards just gave this administration a pass on ALL of those lies with that statement.

Clark registered as a Democrat in 2002. He voted for Clinton in 1992. He voted for Clinton in 1996. He voted for Gore in 2000. Before you bash someone, it's wise to have the facts to back it up.

15. *sigh* It's damn depressing
how they have blackballed him. I cannot tell you how much I hate the media right now. They control our elections.....not the people. What REALLY pisses me off is that they don't give a shit about all of the grassroots people who have donated time and money to this campaign.....people who have worked their asses off only to be completely dismissed by THEM...the almighty media! They don't care that there's MILLIONS of us out here who LOVE this guy. They shit on the General, they're shitting on ALL of us. :grr: I am SO mad right now because there's NOTHING I can do. I could donate every fucking penny I have, work 100 hours a week for the campaign and it doesn't matter. The media has decided for us that Kerry will be the nominee. I hate them more than I can say.

8. Moderate independent????
So basically you are saying that people who do not support the Democratic party or its ideology say that Clark won? That doesn't surprise me but I don't see how you can spin that as a positive.

10. Who says moderate independents don't support the democratic party?
Moderate independents are who the dems need in order to win the election. You aren't going to get the liberals to change their mind and vote republican and you certainly aren't going to get the christian right to change their mind and vote democrat. The key to this election are the independents and I am going out on a limb and saying independents are moderate, otherwise they would be liberal or conservative.

It is a nice boost for Clark if you ask me. He would draw alot of moderates.

14. Have You Been To Their Website? It Rakes Bush & Neo-Cons Over The Coals
don't judge a book by its cover... or a website from its name.

It says more about you than about the website and their views.

I do not support your choice. ;-)

But I would say he performed best in the debates. Articulate, composed, measured.

16. I didn't get a chance to post last night--
but I wanted to tell Clark supporters how very impressed I was at his performance in the "debate" last night. He was really on a roll, and Brokaw was a complete jerk.

Clark did an amazing job.
