President Clark: A Great Prez or Sweet Revenge? |
|
Both, of course!
Clark would probably not totally approve of my angry demism, but sorry, Gen. I am one pissed off Mofo and you are the very best way to stick it to everybody we'd all love to stick it to: The media whores, the GOP, the Chimp, the Hugh Shelton wing of the military, the "Patriotism Grabbers" like Ann Coulter and Bill O'really and, yes, even a few uber-insider Dems (Not referring to Kerry here).
Still plenty of time to beat them all into the oblivion they deserve AND get a great president in the process.

4. Off hand? Install someone in the FCC or whatever agency is involved |
|
and interpret the regulations AGAINST media consolidation.
Review all the exceptions and exemptions made for political payoffs, like letting Murdoch own papers, tv stations and radio outlets in the same market.
Revise and reinforce the concept that the licensess ARE lincenees and NOT owners of the air waves; that broadcast frequencies are public property and subject to rules other than the bottom line.
Reinstate the equal time doctrine and limit the ability of communications companies to use their license to influence the public debate on policies and candidates.
To start with...
If Clark gets elected I'm pretty sure that jobs and Iraq will be his first priority, followed by closing the Mexican border and then, giving a BIG hello to the folks who've spent this year trying to cut his legs out from under him.
Somewhere after that, I hope, he'll instruct his Attorney General to ask SCOTUS to reexamine the concept that corporations are entitled to treatment as living beings, rather than economic constructs.
And then, the fun will begin...

He could also get a friendly senator sponsor legislation to repeal the ownership rules, combined with strong signals from the White House that its a top priority for the president--I bet it would pass with more than a few GOP votes.
At the very least this would make the rethugs in the House look like the monoplists' whores they are.

Wes Clark is just another lousy DLC insider who will run this country into the ground worse than George Bush! He can't be trusted, he's just a pawn of the insider money machine which seeks to dominate us all!!! If you vote for Clark he will EAT YOU ALIVE!!
:)
Just kidding. Clark is awesome (I'm for a Kerry/Clark or Clark/Kerry ticket, either way is fine) and I wish him all the best. But come on people, what is this? Six posts in a row about one of our candidates without someone bashing him? I couldn't let that slide.
Go Wes Go!!

12. I think the General would completely understand your feelings. |
|
I've seen him get pretty riled up when he talks about Chimp's 100% failed policies.

13. I'm a Clark supporter because... |
|
one of my main issues is the giant sucking black hole that is the Pentagon budget.
Hasn't the Pentagon "lost" something like 1 or 2 TRILLION dollars?
And didn't Rum$feld, when asked about it, basically shrug his shoulders like "What's it to you?"
I think Gen. Clark is in a unique position to stop the bloodletting of our federal monies that occurs in that fricking hellhole.
