You know what? I don't care about Clark, Hillary, Warner or your mother
IN 2008,
by then it will be too late.

This is the year,
this is the time
this is the action in which you must decide

Do you live in this year or not

You have a small chance of winning back your democracy
and it is not 2007,
2008 or 2009
when your new leader will decide
your fate,
your dreams
but by then it will be too late.

It is 2006, the year you must organize
or give up your life up to fate

2. work locally think globally
our local world, the microcosm of our world,
who we want as leaders in our small world
and how is that power shared and directed.

local elections, local politics
you can only change consciousness one mind at a time.

and that is usually your own.

happy new year.

4.  "....take care of the voting problems and work on 2006...." That would
be a hammer hitting the nail squarely.

6. Thank you, IChing. I have been thinking about
posting something to this effect.

2008 election is three years off. I have no idea for whom I will be voting.

It seems every time 2006 is mentioned, some lowcount post a virulent thread about Hillary about which everyone must respond. I am tired of it.

I believe like you do. Lose 2006, and it's over.

10. Absolutely true vision is limited to a two year period!
I wish Bush would have thought more than two years ahead. I think most of us are capable of multitasking especially if I am not running for office. The religious conservatives have been planning long term strategy for many years gradually infiltrating and then taking over the media, putting money into think tanks, forming organized mailing campaigns and grass root organizations. They blew progressives out of the water who were only planning ahead for the next election and failing to consider a larger picture.

I'm energized and ready to go. Mostly I'm excited. I think this year will be a big year for democrats and the country to clean up.

12. Yes, 2006 is all important. Just be ready for the diversion(s).
You know, of course, that the neocons and BushCo will pull out all the stops within 60 days prior to the November 2006 elections. There will either be another spectacular domestic terror attack, another war started, or some other big event to drum up fear (their specialty and how they got into office in the first place, with an assist from the Supreme Court & Diebold) and to appeal to Americans' instinct of rallying around the President in times of crisis.

13. Damn true remark!
We need to take back CONGRESS.....IMPEACHMENT OF BOTH prez and evil prez must be accomplished to save this country from near third world status, in the context of non-military persuation!!

We have NO CREDIBILITY ABROAD, and our leaders have NO CREDIBILITY DOMESTICALLY!!

We MUST do it wisely though, because the Bush Regime has made so much of the American electorate so cynical about EVERYTHING! We have to prove to the doubters that not only are WE DIFFERENT than these crooks and liars, but that we DO have plans and a specific direction!!
