5. Does ACLU Endorse NAMBLA?

I remember talking with a very Conservative relative about the ACLU & they condemned the ACLU for "supporting" child pornography (free speech) and I said that I didn't agree with everything the ACLU did (in fact, there is much with which I disagree) but I overall respect what they are trying to accomplish - that is freedom of all means of expression.

I think a lot of people totally misunderstand the ACLU. When they take on a case "defending" some one they are not necessarily endorsing what that person or organization stands for, they are challenging a specific law that could be applied to something else and could limit all of our freedoms.
