I don't understand how someone wouldn't know. You're either a knuckledragger who thinks Bush is the Second Coming or you believe in the Constitution.

11. I like the photo and caption
"Lincoln suspended habeas corpus in the Civil War. Presidents have often chosen to breach individual rights rather than risk losing a war."

So you see? If Bush doesn't destroy our individual rights we'll lose the war (that we won in May of 2003)

You never quit until the enemy is crushed beneath the soles of the Progressive majority. Get it?

If you blink, they will crush you.

17. what good does this honestly do?
Quickpolls like are not in any way scientifically valid. No one can cite the results as a source and not be called out on it, so why not just ignore them entirely? Especially since they are only visible for a few days anyways.

Effort should be put into debunking and dropping the stuff that is pretty much on permanent display, such as some of the idiot books at amazon.com like;

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1581824599/qid=1136296874/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-1014188-3018526?n=507846&s=books&v=glance

The "Marketing of Evil" is one of the more vile right-wing hack jobs to come along lately, and it is things like this that should really be "DU'ed", rather than quickpolls. The best thing to do is to create an account and write up a negative review of this trash, but if you don't have the time/inclination for that, at least scroll through the reviews already there, voting up the the good onces and voting down those written by the sycophants.

18. Good Point
anything that will affect public perception needs attention, be it polls or book reviews. It all counts, regardless of the validity. The administration spouts outright lies in order to affect public opinion.

21. Looks like the freepers are getting a bit nervous
Heh, this is pretty amusing. It may be gone soon if Amazon staff checks in and deletes them, but take a look on the first review page, it seems that a little lurker here has pasted my post from DU onto there. Twice, even, under a "stace" and a "stacey" account.

I love the smell of scared freeper in the morning. These people are so desperate to keep Chimpy's lie machine running, I can really only feel a strange sort of pity for them these days.
