Newsmeat list of who Abramoff gave money to and it shows ....
Edited on Tue Jan-03-06 09:23 PM by mzmolly
Not one Democrat on the list. Not to say there are not other means of making contribs, but his personal political alliances are crystal clear.

12. Sure, he gave to both sides.
On the one hand there's the conservative Republicans, and on the other there's the Republican conservatives.

2. Anything $2000 or less
is legal. I'm interested in the illegal stuff: the boats, the trips, the plastic surgery for the wives, the hookers in Vegas. That's where the tale will be told.

3. As am I, however if one is going to give money legally to Republicans
why support the other team in any manner?

7. Cash
Money transfers to off-shore accounts. What about the big "donations"?

9. Agreed. But, why give all legit contributions to Republicans if you are a
bi-partisan crook? It doesn't quite mesh.

10. "Rely On Your Beliefs"
I thought, what an odd name. That's Blunt's PAC.

Also substantial funds to Dana Rohrabacher. He was the one shooting his big mouth over -- I can't remember what -- in an interview recently. I think he was defending the bush wiretapping without warrants. Yes, I do believe that's it.

These Republicans are like slot machines, drop in your money and you get payola.

13. Doesn't make any difference..
Dems have no influence, therefore cannot be bribed for favors...Republicans know this, they are just muddying the waters. Any money that may have gone to Dems, didn't buy shit, it would have been just a contribution. Also, any Committee trips that Dems may had taken, were on the job and the whole Committee would have gone - that is legal.

16. Well many Republicans are saying that Dems weren't bribed b/c
they aren't in power. I don't buy that. I think the Republican party is corrupt and has been for quite sometime. Democrats by and large are not. At least that's my opinion on the matter. ;)
