2006 Congressional candidates

Here are two, running against Republicans in NY State....

First, Eric Massa, one of the Fighting Dems, who is running against Republican incumbent John R. “Randy” Kuhl in the 29th District of NY State. He is holding a NYC fundraiser this Thursday. This is his website:

Second, Darren Rigger, who recently resigned from working for Charlie Rangel to run for Congress himself in the 19th District of NY State. He is running against 'Newt Gingrinch' Republican incumbent Sue Kelly. I know Darren through Charlie's office. He's a good guy. His website is:

2. Massa is a good candidate

he was General Clark's aide in the military and has a great chance to win.

6. There is a fundraiser for Massa Thurs. nite

It looks like a big push to get him some big bucks. Massa is a good Dem. and a good person; plus, he's very funny. I can't get to NYC but I'm going to send something. I think the e-addy is on the invitation (a pdf). I hope that people can pitch in a little something for a worthy cause.

Both of my congressmen are Dems. and look safe for now. Michaud and Allen are great from the great state of Maine. Getting our Dem. governor a second term will be the hurdle we have to jump.

7. I've given him money already

at his first DC fundraiser. I also spent some time with some of his people in NY. He's got a good crew. I think he'll do well.
