"Kerry dominates first 'Super Tuesday'"
"Kerry faces challenge from...(insert the name of other winners"

The only way he can be stopped now is if another candidate or candidates get a bounce after 2/3. This will largely depend on the media's spin of the results.

2. Kerry
Kerry will be the story until someone else wins something. And even if another candidate like Dean or Edwards or Clark finish first, all Kerry has to do is finish second to claim that he still has momentum.

6. Okay
What if Clark finishes second in four states and wins two states with Edwards winning SC. Do you believe he would he get a bounce from that?

9. If Clark does that
then he is THE challenger; however, I don't feel that Wes is well positioned in MI, WI & WA though with a Feb 3 bounce he should carry TN and maybe VA.

13. To win elections, you have to win elections.
Anyone who wins a primary on Feb. 3 has a rightful claim to being competitive.

4. The story would be.....
The 2004 Dem presidential nominee, barring a gaffe of historic proportions, is John F. Kerry.

8. If Kerry
beats Edwards in SC and Wes Clark fails to win 2 primaries (OK plus 1) then the race is unofficially over -- which is not a good thing.

We need to keep voters pumped and interested going all the way to the convention just to get more excited when the nominee comes charging out of the gate. If This is decided in the next few weeks, Dem voters go to sleep until the convention.

10. True, but a double edged sword
I think it is terrific that the Democratic candidates and their issues are getting such tremendous coverage, succeeding in making all of them household names and having the important issues debated over and over. In addition it has sharply honed the Dem messages and made them tougher, more formidable candidates for the general election.

Of course the other side of the coin is the Dems could wind up trashing each other much more than they are now. But that doesn't bother me so much because no matter what they might say about each other it will be nothing compared to what Bush and Rove have in store for the Dem nominee.

15. Kerry is money's man.
Edited on Fri Jan-30-04 05:07 PM by Virgil
There is no surprise that politicians in the party endorse Kerry. It is not suprising he is getting big contributions. I know it is a common theme I have repeated, but it is all boiled down to this- Big Money runs the country and their candidate is Kerry. Look at his voting record on the top ten pieces of legislation while, Bush has been in office and not voting against should be considered voting for.

I have said that I study the drug wars and regard Kerry as a drug warrior and would oppose him on that ground alone. He does not speak of depleted uranium in Iraq. He does not speak of violations of the Geneva convention and he will not even denounce the illegal counting of military votes that gave Bush Florida and his appointment to the White House. He has had 24 years to push America to a different place, but here we are. Kerry was there and now big money chooses him to carry on with plutocratic rule.

I hold the term Kerry wisdom as being oxymoronic. And if it seems I despise Kerry and Edwards too, it is because I do and with cause. Maybe my standard is different than yours, but I am not going to be silent when I have the chance to say Kerry is the wrong choice.

And in addition to that why do we not have one big statement against paperless trails in electronic voting machines? But more than that, why do we not have legislation requiring paper trails when it is federal money funding and requiring change in voting machines? Why are we concerned about BBV? The answer is our Congress. Seriously, why aren't paper trails required in the law that federally funds and mandates new standards. What is wrong with everyone? Hold Kerry and Edwards both up to our situation with the funding of these machines and the absense of the requirement that they have paper trails. It is all unbelievable and everybody gives them a free ride. Totally unbelievable. This is not a popularity contest. This is the future of America.

16. Calling Kerry a 'drug warrior' -- totally unsupported by the facts.
Your post is 'totally without merit'.
