Another Coincidence Or * & Rove Are The Luckiest Men Alive...... |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-04-06 10:44 AM by global1
I happened to be up last night watching the Orange Bowl. Talked on the phone with my girlfriend and she reminded me about O’Lielly being on Dave. So I watched that interview/bloodbath. Way to Go Dave!!!! Then my girlfriend called back again near the end of the interview and said that she saw a blip on the screen that 12 miners were found alive. So now I found myself switching back and forth between the game and CNN & MSNBC.
After the game – I watched some of the coverage of the mining miracle and then proceeded to sit down at the computer and check e-mail messages and see what was up on DU. I was reading all sorts of stories about Abramoff and how bad this scandal will be. Worse Than Watergate. When I caught out of the corner of my eye as I was returning to the LBN page that – wait – that 11 of the 12 were actually found dead. I immediately went back to the TV and CNN and sure enough there was Anderson Cooper holding his microphone – speechless.
Whoa - I then had the same feeling in my tummy I had when we were told * won Florida after we were told Gore won. In light of all the lies and deceptions we’ve endured since “the coup of our government in‘00” my tinfoil hat went on. It is now an automatic thing that happens to me when I listen to the news. I pondered and posted the following on DU:
"Could It Be A Rove Dirty Trick? It gives the press something to talk about to get them off of the Abramoff scandal. It lets the O'Lielly's, Insanity's and Oxyrush's the ability to dump on a democrat just like they did on the governor of Louisiana." I went on to say - "this is what we have to come to expect in *'s America."
A response to my post was as follows (so at least I knew that I wasn’t alone in my thinking). The poster responded with:
“It Ratherizes Anderson Cooper, damages the Dem Governor, VERY conveniently takes the spotlight off the Abramoff guilty plea and NSA revelations, makes the New Year look grim, and traumatizes the workers in an industry which has recently been taken over by one company and faces union weakening, doesn't it? It couldn't possibly be a Rovian trick.”
Are we being too cynical. Do I need help?

Maybe.
But then again, those of us who are paying attention put NOTHING past Rove and his fellow scum.

2. I wouldn't put anything past them....... |

Stolen two elections, based a pre-emptive invasion on lies, committed a half-assed genocide in New Orleans, allowed oil companies to keep gas prices artificially high with impunity, and on and on and on.

Nothing would surprise me any more, or so I believe until I find myself pulling my jaw up off the floor again.
I can't help wondering if rescuers found 12 live miners and turned them into 12 dead miners (or 11 +1). Why? Perhaps to cover the extreme degree of unsafe conditions at the mine? PErhaps for other reasons.
Your scenario strikes me as plausible too...Making a new disaster, but not on the scale with 9/11 or New Orleans...I could see it.
My chief disbelief anymore is that I can see such scenarios as plausible. The ideal of America has been pillaged by the Neo Con elitists. We are all trapped in a mine shaft with these people.

4. I thought the same thing, but... |

it is neither dumb luck nor coincidence. The cooperate media is concerned with profit. The majority of Americans who watch television for their news tune in to see these exploitative human-interest stories. Take notice that the MSMs' coverage of the West Virginia mine tragedy is focused on families, NOT on the mining industry or regulatory bodies that may be to blame.
