Did I hear Tweetie call Sharon a peace maker? |
|
Didn't Bush call him the same a couple of years ago?
How can they call Sharon, the father of all wars and violence in our recent history, a peace maker?
Sharon has more blood on his hands than Saddam ever did!!! A peace maker?

We have had wars for over 50 years in the region, there is really only one single person who you can hold responsible for all of it...(well 2 including Arafat).

4. Well, the dead are peaceful, you have to give them that, |
|
and Sharon's policies certainly created a large supply of dead.

7. Ironically, he is a peacemaker |
|
Sharon has transformed himself into the closest thing to a peacemaker in the Middle East at the moment.
Which says something about how quickly a politician can change his stripes and how backward the state of ME politics is.

9. He reinvented himself to a degree |
|
He's scarcely to my taste, but I didn't say he was. I pointed out that (because of the concessions he has been willing to make) he's the closest thing to a peacemaker currently in the Middle East.
Of those in power, I should have said.

10. I guess that's a colt peacemaker: a thundering .45 caliber monster |
|
I'll never forget seeing him interviewed by Ted Koppel during the Lebanon mess as he said, with a straight face, that "we're going into Lebanon to secure the living space of the Jewish people and to force a final solution to the Palestinian problem."
Did he know he was using the two most highly-charged terms of the Third Reich's eastward expansion and racial extermination? Beats me. He probably would, too, if he had a chance.
