HA! Even the fundies are denouncing Abramoff.
From the latest Family Research Council email:

Fallout from Corrupt Jack Abramoff

Washington "super lobbyist" Jack Abramoff has pleaded guilty to federal charges of fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy to bribe public officials. At the center of Abramoff's lucrative and corrupt activities was his representation (and misrepresentation) of tribal gambling interests. I entered politics in part to fight decriminalized gambling and FRC has repeatedly sought tough legislation to stop gambling on the Internet. Each time, we have been frustrated. As the pieces come together in this case it becomes more evident why we failed. This latest episode is further evidence of gambling's corrupting influence and it should prompt Congress to get serious about dealing with gambling.

Although I suspect that Tony Perkins has known for a very long time why they haven't been able to get gambling legislation passed.

3. Fundies will play the "TEMPTATION"
You see the GOP politicians are weak and they are tempted by bad people like Jack Abramoff.
Just like fundie males might go down on a dude because they are tempted by the Gay community.
Or they are tempted by gambling, it's not their fault, gambling needs to be outlawed.
Or their women might be tempted by a black man, that's why they keep their distance.
ETC, etc, etc. It's never the fundies fault.

5. It's not surprising in the least
When people find out about their shady dealings, they have no choice but to back away or risk being brought down. Despicable, really.
