The Bush Presidency is finished.

Between Abramoff, NSA, Fitz, Iraq, and so many other things he is toast.

Just a matter of time. It will either be in 06 or 07 but he will not finish his term. I might be nuts but I
get the feeling that "they" can not keep all the balls in the air any longer.

We just need one good body blow be it; Spying on Kerry or links to Abramoff or the stolen election.

Very soon the repugs are going to be running from him like rats from a sinking ship.

5. it will not be too e.z. but
the stack of crap against him is mind boggling.

As of today Wisconsin, North Carolina, Connecticut, and California have rejected voting machines
with out paper trails and diebold machines ..... the piles of corruption will force almost all states to have open
voting ...... "What are you afraid of?' ..... Must be our mantra.

18. It is SO frustrating!
Every other day, it seems, we find out something new, he opens his mouth, indictments of people 'close' to the White House, despicable nonresponse to hurricanes, spying, crony appointments during recess (2 tomorrow), you name it. I will never give up, but c'mon, America, wake up!

You are so right, CrazyOrangeCat, he has not finished anything in his pathetic little life. Let's just hope the next thing is this term!

20. It is terribly frustrating . . .
. . . and I really don't think America is going to do a lot of waking up until after the fact. I'm relying on the Senate to wield the Constitution. That brilliant document is, I suspect all that can return us from the brink, at this stage.

hell, I don't know. I want to go march on Washington in the cold, right before the SOTU address . . . but why? To get 10 seconds coverage on CNN? But what that march might do is wake up the Senate. Hopefully, Senator Byrd's health will hold up, because no one can beat those lazy bastards over the head with the Constitution better than him!

22. My husband's sister was here a week for Christmas
We have never really discussed politics too much over the years because they are, or were, pretty conservative. They voted for * in 2004 because of the way he handled 9/11.
Well, one conversation led to a discussion of Iraq. I had not told her that I protest with Code Pink every week, but my husband mentioned it and all of a sudden, she looks at me and says "Well, good for you!" I couldn't believe it. Then she says "I am a big fan of Michael Moore". I stared at her in total amazement. She said she wished she had seen F9/11 and when I told her we had it, we watched it that very evening.
Now, she doesn't even respect the 'bullhorn moment' anymore and thinks Cheney is the most vile person on the planet.

One at a time, CrazyOrangeCat, one at a time.:)

19. There's a small matter of details

The real center of power in the country is now Congress, more specifically the Senate.

Win control of the Senate and the jig is up for BushCo.

23. My instincts tell me
there's probably a lot of as-yet-unknown, unpublicized scandal/damage in both the NSA spying and the Abramoff scandals --- what's surfaced so far is probably only the proverbial tip of both those icebergs. Nonetheless, I don't share your optimism. The congress and the Democratic opposition don't exactly inspire confidence. The whore Media is still an incredibly powerful tool in the BushCo defense system. The more cornered Bush is, the more dangerous. If there is another spectacular domestic terror attack (real or staged) or Bush starts another war (Iran?) he can bring back "fear" which in America today seems to trump common sense & steadier thinking, and divert a lot of attention away from the scandals that should have ALREADY brought him down.

26. it is about time...
I can remember my very first thought upon hearing that the second election had been stolen. I thought to myself "he'll never finish the second term". It was just one of those strange feelings that comes over you sometimes. I hope it comes true! This maniac has got to be stopped. Why aren't more people outraged and fed up? Have we really turned into a Nation of "sheeple"? Have we become so desensitized and disconnected when it comes to our Government and the way that it is headed that we just don't care anymore? Have we turned a blind eye to the actions of our politicians and just think "well, thats politics as usual, ain't nothing I can do about it"? Trust me, there are MANY who feel this way. I have to admit that I used to be one of them. I was so disassociated with politics that the only time I ever voted was if there was an incentive, like a half a day off with pay for going to vote. I was of the mindset that if it wasn't happening in MY back yard (and I mean that quite literally, I didn't care what they were doing on the other side of the street, as long as it didn't interfere with what I had to do) it didn't affect me. I was too busy with life ( working & partying then partying and working) to worry about what "those goofballs in Washington" were doing. I remember starting to pay attention to the news a little here and there during the Reagan/Bush#1 era. Certain things caught my attention. Things like "Reaganomics" and "voodoo economics". Things like "Iran/Contra", "just say NO", "CIA spying", "Guns for Oil", "Fawn Hall's panties" and of course "Desert Storm: The Beginning".
I remember thinking that "Boy Ronnie" looked like Bozo the Clown without the makeup during most of his televised appearances. I remember thinking that his voice sounded like a bad John Wayne impersonation. Then something DID happen in MY back yard. Hurricane Andrew hit my back yard. I lived in Ground Zero, Florida City, Fla. It was Election Year. Who showed up in Florida City first? Candidate Bill Clinton! He got out and met and talked with the people. I think it was a couple days or so later when Poppy Bush showed up and did a quick drive thru then talked to the press. Maybe thats where W learned his slow response to Katrina. Chimps, er, I mean, children, learn from their parents. I'll spare you the rest of the recent history, as we are all aware of it. Where is all of this ramble leading?? Nowhere, I'm going to bed now!! BWAAA HAHAHA!!! Got ya, didn't I? Where it is leading is right here: Right now is the time to be mobilizing and preparing for '08. The entire Democratic Party needs to pull together as one, take back our country and restore our standing and respect to the rest of the world. We need to reach these people who are like I once was. We need to open their eyes and their minds. Reach out to the working class and the working poor, the backbone of America. Give the disenfranchised and the disassociated something to associate with. Think of how the scattered victims of Katrina and Rita are going to affect the makeup and voting results in their new locations. Make an effort to get these people registered in their new districts so they can vote this year. These are the people you need to reach, and you need to reach them with HONESTY and ACTION. They are already desensitized to all the lies and B.S. Who says the Democrats can't be a grassroots movement right now?? Don't become complacent and lazy. Show the world what a True Democrat is and what a True Democracy is. Give the undecideds something solid to decide on. Give the fence sitters a REASON to want to come to our side of the fence. Give the independents a reason to want to affiliate with our party. Wow! I've been rambling forever! Are you still reading this?? If you are, THANK YOU! and I'll sum it up for you. A person without HOPE is a person without LIFE. Restore some hope to the hopeless! Restore some FAITH in our Government to the faithless. Restore a sense of PRIDE and DIGNITY to the American People, the REAL American Public. Who is the REAL American Public? I'll give you a clue... it's NOT the 20% of the people who control 80% of the wealth. That 20% likes it that way, and would prefer a 2 class system: The "HAVES" and The "HAVE NOTS". We need to reach the 80% of the "have nots" and give them something they CAN have. True Freedom and True Democracy. A Democracy that works for EVERYONE from the CEO of McDonalds to the person cooking the fries at YOUR local outlet. Thats how True Democracy works. Are you STILL reading this?? Ok, you're off the hook now, I'm really done this time! PEACE!
